Join us.\nAbout the Team\nEnvironmental Test Lab: Vibration Test Team\nThe Vibration Test Team provides vibration testing services across the Terran R program, supporting hardware and systems for Avionics, Propulsion, and Mechanisms. The team partners closely with engineering organizations to execute environmental testing that validates hardware performance and readiness throughout development and qualification.\nThis is a second-shift position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. PT. The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week. In addition to base pay, employees receive a 10% shift differential.\nAbout the Role:\nAs an Environmental Test Specialist focused on vibration testing, you will execute acceptance, qualification, and development testing on Terran R hardware. This role requires strong hands-on knowledge of electromechanical shaker systems, instrumentation, test setup, and troubleshooting.\nIn this role, you will:\nSet up and execute vibration acceptance, qualification, and development tests\nOperate electromechanical shaker systems and understand the function and interaction of their major components\nTroubleshoot vibration test setups, including control issues, instrumentation problems, and fixture-related concerns\nInstall, configure, and validate accelerometers and other test instrumentation\nUnderstand vibration control systems and identify abnormal test or system behavior\nWork closely with engineering teams to communicate test status, troubleshoot issues, and support successful test execution\nWork safely around high-voltage systems, high-pressure systems, and cryogenic environments\nClearly document and communicate test configurations, observations, issues, and results\nAbout You:\n5+ years of hands-on vibration testing experience\nStrong working knowledge of vibration control systems and vibration test equipment\nHigh proficiency with accelerometers, instrumentation, data acquisition, and measurement equipment\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot vibration test setups, control problems, instrumentation, and test fixtures\nWorking knowledge of electrical theory and electrical systems\nWorking knowledge of thermal principles and their impact on hardware and test environments\nStrong computer skills and ability to work with test control, data acquisition, and technical software\nStrong technical communication and documentation skills\nComfortable working hands-on with complex test hardware in a dynamic test environment\nTechnical or vocational training is preferred. Aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability hardware testing experience is strongly preferred.\nNice to Have:\nAdditional environmental or dynamics testing experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus:\nMechanical shock testing\nAcceleration testing\nAcoustic testing\nEnvironmental qualification testing of aerospace or flight hardware\nTest fixture setup, evaluation, or troubleshooting\nExperience supporting development, qualification, and acceptance test campaigns\n\nAt Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices.
