Join us.\nAbout the Team:\nThe Functional Test Team is a newly established subdivision of the Environmental Test Lab, serving as the central hub for avionics production testing. The team is responsible for performing functional checks on avionics hardware before and after environmental testing, ensuring hardware meets testing requirements before progressing through production.\nWorking closely with the Vibration and Thermal Test teams, the Functional Test Team plays a critical role in streamlining test operations, improving throughput, and supporting the delivery of flight-ready hardware for Terran R.\nThis is a first-shift position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT. The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week. \nAbout the Role\nAs a Functional Test Specialist, you will perform a variety of functional tests and inspections on avionics hardware before and after environmental testing. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong attention to detail, the ability to follow technical procedures, and a commitment to safety and quality.\nIn this role, you will:\nPerform functional testing of avionics hardware using product-specific test racks and equipment\nConduct low-pressure pneumatic testing of avionics enclosures to verify leakage remains within specified tolerances\nExecute rate table testing, camera focusing, electrical bond measurements, and visual inspections\nFollow established test procedures to ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable results\nOperate safely in electrostatic discharge (ESD) controlled environments and around high-voltage equipment\nDocument test results, communicate findings, and escalate issues or abnormalities to the appropriate engineering or test teams\nCollaborate with the Vibration and Thermal Test teams to support efficient hardware flow through environmental testing\nAbout You\nStrong computer proficiency and ability to learn and operate technical test software and equipment\nFoundational understanding of electrical theory and basic electrical principles\nAbility to read, comprehend, and accurately execute written technical instructions and test procedures\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and communicate technical information\nAbility to work independently, manage assigned tasks, and take ownership of test execution with minimal supervision\nStrong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset when working with sensitive hardware and test equipment\nDemonstrated technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn new testing methods and equipment\nNice to Have\nThis is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals with strong technical aptitude who are interested in developing a career in aerospace testing.
