Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity. But that’s just the start. Achieving commercial success with Terran R will unlock new opportunities to advance science, exploration, and innovation, pioneering progress that reaches beyond the known.\nJoining Relativity means becoming part of something where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level. Here, you're not just executing tasks; you're solving problems that haven’t been solved before, helping develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up. Whether you’re in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you’ll collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time. Relativity is a place where creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand, and your voice will help define the stories we’re writing together. Now is a unique moment in time where it’s early enough to leave your mark on the product, the process, and the culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and picking up momentum. The most meaningful work of your career is waiting. Join us.\nAbout the Team:\nThe Launch team operates at the intersection of every major aspect of Terran R, from stages and payloads to ground systems, launch, landing, and refurbishment. The Cape is the only place where you see it all come together, offering a level of exposure and responsibility unmatched elsewhere in the program. This is where first flights happen, where history is built on top of history, and where the scale of what's underway is unlike anything in modern aerospace. The mission stays the same, but the work evolves with every milestone: from first launch to reuse, high-cadence operations, and beyond. If you're looking to define what's next in space launch and write a new playbook, not just repeat what’s already been done, this is where it happens.\nAbout the Role:\nDesign, develop, test, integrate, and operate launch control and acquisition hardware, instrumentation, and cameras used to support and control the Terran R rocket.\nWork with Beckhoff PLCs or similar systems.\nSupport high-speed data acquisition.\nWork with instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, level, accelerometers, solenoid valves, VFDs, and heaters.\nIntegrate and operate IP, SDI, and CoaXPress high-speed cameras.\nAssist in the design of electrical systems for use in hazardous areas.\nCollaborate with other groups to gather requirements, plan schedules, and coordinate work.\nPlan, install, and operate wiring and hardware in access-limited areas such as launch mounts and transport erectors.\nAbout You:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related STEM discipline.\nExposure to data acquisition hardware, PLC-based control systems, complex camera systems, and instrumentation selection and troubleshooting.\nAbility to work with multidisciplinary groups in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nNice to haves but not required:\nExperience with the design and operation of spacecraft and launch vehicle infrastructure.\nExperience working at a rocket launch site.\nProficiency with electrical schematic design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or Zuken E3.\nSuccessful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida.\nAt Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.\nCompensation is only one part of our total rewards package. Relativity Space offers competitive salary and equity, a generous PTO and sick leave policy, parental leave, an annual learning and development stipend, and more! To see some of the benefits & perks we offer, please visit here.\nHiring Range:\n$90,000—$136,000 USD\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation, please contact us at .\n Please note: Relativity Space does not accept unsolicited resumes, candidate profiles, or referrals from recruitment agencies or search firms. Any unsolicited submission - via email, our website, social media, or directly to an employee - will be deemed the property of Relativity Space, and no fee will be owed absent a current, fully executed agreement with Talent Acquisition that specifically authorizes submissions for the applicable role.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4894,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Equity","Parental leave"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Manufacturing","Space & Aerospace","Aerospace Manufacturing"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-07T14:58:43Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":63,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.632,"p_room":1,"age_days":2,"expected_fill_days":65,"reasons":["conf:0","stale_co","velocity","win:early","comp:junior,brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-10T05:45:15Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":136000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/relativity-space-instrumentation-controls-engineer-i","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/relativity-space-instrumentation-controls-engineer-i.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-11T22:18:41Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":11993,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-12T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":5617},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=5617"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Frelativity-space-instrumentation-controls-engineer-i"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Frelativity-space-instrumentation-controls-engineer-i"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Frelativity-space-instrumentation-controls-engineer-i"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/relativity-space-instrumentation-controls-engineer-i\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Frelativity-space-instrumentation-controls-engineer-i"}]}
