This isn’t about turning the same bolt every day; it’s about building the systems to build the rocket. Engineers and technicians work side by side, with deep collaboration and real-time feedback, to shape how we build better and faster. With a manifest and a launch date, it’s up to the team to deliver on Terran R: solving challenges in real time, optimizing for scale, and constantly improving processes. What we build here sets the blueprint for the future of scaled launch.\nThis is a second-shift position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. PT. The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week.\nAbout the Role:\nCollaborate with engineering teams on building the 1st Terran R mechanism assemblies\nFollow precise work instructions to successfully complete build operations \nAssemble and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies using a variety of hand tools and test equipment \nWork closely with a team of technicians to successfully execute daily operations \nAbout You:\n2+ years of aerospace mechanical experience or related field\nDemonstrated ability to work in fast paced environments with flight hardware \nProficient in using calibrated tools such as torque wrenches and precision inspection equipment \nExperience in the building and testing of electro-mechanical systems \nExperience in wiring, harnessing, and avionics \nProficiency of relevant aerospace industry standards and specifications, showcasing strong attention to detail and concern for product quality \nNice to haves but not required: \nExperience with electrical testing, high and low voltage \nExperience troubleshooting electrical mechanical assemblies \nAirframe and Powerplant license \nAt Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices.
