They’re juggling payroll, inventory, contractor payments, and everyday expenses, all while trying to carve out resources to invest in growth. Product Managers at Relay play a central role in solving these problems by building financial products that are simple, intuitive, and impactful.\nAs Senior Product Manager, you’ll lead a major product area from end-to-end (e.g. core banking, risk, AI Insights, payroll etc). You’ll take new products and features from zero to one, scale existing ones, and directly impact how thousands of entrepreneurs run their businesses.\nIn your first year, you might:\nLaunch and iterate on high priority products ensuring the experiences are simple, intuitive, and trustworthy.\n\nImprove customer outcomes by driving integrations with banking, accounting, or payment platforms.\n\nCollaborate with Risk, Data, and Operations to ensure Relay’s products are reliable, secure, and insight-driven.\n\nBuild narratives and roadmaps that align stakeholders, clarify priorities, and inspire confidence, even in the face of ambiguity.\n\nPartner with Sales, Marketing, and CX to deliver successful launches and drive adoption among SMB customers.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nOwn impactful products end-to-end: define the vision, set the roadmap, and deliver high-impact outcomes shaping how SMBs understand, manage, and spend their money.\n\nTreat your product like a business: define and track KPIs, monitor performance, and make decisions rooted in data, customer insights, and company goals.\n\nShip high-quality products from ideation to launch: partner closely with design and engineering as part of a leadership trifecta, raising the bar for usability, craft, and polish.\n\nBuild and tell the story for your product: create clear narratives that inspire leadership, cross-functional partners, and customers; even in ambiguous situations.\n\nStay deeply connected to SMB customers: immerse yourself in their workflows and pain points, ensuring we’re solving meaningful problems and delivering products that feel both intuitive and delightful.\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally: work with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to ensure smooth go-to-market launches and strong adoption.\n\nPartner externally and internally: navigate and evaluate strategic partners while working across Relay as we grow our product offerings and build new capabilities.\n\nChampion product culture at Relay: bring curiosity, ownership, and a high bar for quality that elevates both the product team as a whole.\n\nWho You Are\nAt least five years of product management experience, with a track record of shipping and owning products at scale\n\nProven ability to take ownership of a product area and influence broader strategy.\n\nStrong data competency with the ability to self-serve metrics and write basic SQL queries to support decision making\n\nExcellent storytelling and communication skills: you bring clarity and inspire conviction across engineering, design, and business stakeholders.\n\nExperience working closely with engineering and design as part of a leadership trifecta to deliver polished, high-quality experiences\n\nDemonstrated success working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to ensure effective launches and adoption\n\nComfort working in ambiguous environments while bringing structure and clarity where needed\n\nExperimental & curious in your approach to product management (i.e. tooling, processes etc)\n\nBonus Points\nHave experience in fintech products.\n\nYou’ve joined a company at its early stages and have seen it through scale\n\nYou have experience working in a fintech startup\n\nAre familiar with risk/fraud tools or credit underwriting frameworks.\n\nThe Interview Process\nStage 1: A 45-minute Google Meets video call with a member of our Talent team\n\nStage 2: A 45-minute Product Deep Dive interview with the hiring manager\n\nStage 3: A 1-hour case study panel interview - a take home case study assignment will form the basis of this discussion\n\nStage 4: A 45-minute in-person interview with a member of our leadership team\n\nOur Compensation Approach\nAt Relay, we believe Relayers should feel valued for the impact they have on our mission and growth. So we pay fairly and transparently. The annual salary range for this role is $189,000 USD to $231,000 USD.\nWe pay for impact and aren’t tied to yearly reviews. As your contributions to Relay’s mission scale, so do your rewards. Most new Relayers will join at the impactful level, which for this role is $210,000 USD per year.
