We develop the wide variety of computing, sensing and actuation, power, and communications systems that are at the core of our automation system. We’re looking for a broadly experienced individual to apply their electrical engineering and software automation skills to develop robust test solutions for complex hardware in a safety-critical environment. This is a clean-slate opportunity to grow our primitive test operations into a production worthy operation.\nResponsibilities\nLead the development of automated test equipment systems for functional, environmental qualification, and manufacturing acceptance tests\n\nAnalyze test results to identify failure modes, lead root cause investigations, and drive improvements back into designs\n\nAuthor, execute, and audit test plans, procedures, and reports\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful testing campaigns\n\nDrive continuous improvement to test system infrastructure, processes, and practices\n\nBasic Success Criteria\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience\n\n2+ years of full cycle electronics hardware test or development experience in a professional environment\n\nExperience with programming/scripting languages (C, C++, Python) and ability to develop and maintain test software\n\nAbility to methodically diagnose, document, and solve electronic hardware problems\n\nPreferred Criteria\nAdvanced degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering\n\nFamiliarity with formal industry test standards such as RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-461/810, or similar\n\nExperience with test equipment, measurement techniques, and processes for hardware verification\n\nExperience developing and simulating complex and manufacturable printed circuit board assemblies using tools such as Altium Designer and SPICE\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nAbility to work well independently and cross-functionally across multiple organizations\n\nThis role provides an opportunity to own a wide variety of testing that is essential in verifying the safe and reliable operation of the next generation of avionics for unmanned aircraft systems.\nThis role is on-site in Mountain View, CA.
