As a Flight Software Verification Manager you’ll lead and grow the team responsible for performing the verification of our flight software to DO-178C compliant processes. The ideal candidate will bridge technical leadership, rigorous process compliance, and people management to guarantee the safety, airworthiness, and regulatory approval of our flight software products.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and guidance to software verification engineers.

  • Own software verification efforts.

  • Triage issues found during verification and coordination with relevant teams.

  • Provide training and mentoring to engineers in verification processes, tools and best practices.

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage the qualification of software verification tools (e.g. test automation, static analyzers, coverage tools) according to DO-330 guidelines.

Basic Success Criteria

  • 7+ years experience in safety-critical software verification to achieve DO-178C objectives.

  • 3+ years in a technical leadership or people management role

  • Proficiency with static analysis, structural coverage tools (e.g., Rapita, VectorCAST, LDRA), configuration management tools, and embedded programming environments (C/C++)

  • Experience specifying and working with a range of test environments to fufill product and DO-178C verification objectives

  • Practical experience of performing DO-178C verification analyses activities such as control and data coupling, worst case execution time etc

  • Excellent documentation, collaboration, and cross-functional communication skills

Preferred Criteria

  • Demonstrated success scaling teams and maturing verification processes in a high-growth environment

  • Experience with tool qualification for DO-178C/DO-330

  • Prior certification liaison experience, working with Certification Authorities (FAA, EASA etc).

  • Experience of automation and reporting of test results and coverage
