The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in financial analysis, reconciliations, and budgeting, combined with a solid understanding of internal controls and compliance standards.\nThis role is perfect for someone who is both meticulous and proactive, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about driving financial accuracy and operational efficiency across the organization.\nAs the Finance Associate, you will be responsible for:\nTransaction Processing & Controls\nProcess vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and other payment requests accurately and on time.\nPrepare and execute payment runs in compliance with approval policies and cash flow schedules.\nMaintain proper documentation and filing for all financial transactions to support audits and regulatory reviews.\nReconciliations & Data Accuracy\nPerform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies promptly.\nReconcile intercompany accounts, claims payments, premium collections, and provider settlements.\nReview and verify data entries in accounting systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.\nFinancial Reporting Support\nAssist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.\nSupport month-end and year-end close processes by completing assigned tasks within deadlines.\nCompile supporting schedules and documentation for financial statements and regulatory filings.\nCompliance & Audit Support\nEnsure all transactions comply with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.\nAssist internal and external auditors by providing requested documentation and explanations.\nFlag unusual transactions or policy violations to senior finance team members.\nRespond to internal queries about invoices, payments, and account balances in a timely and professional manner.\nSupport special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.\nSupport the preparation and analysis of financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and management reports\nParticipate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations (bank and credit cards)\nEnsure timely and accurate processing of payments, invoices, and other financial transactions for employees, vendors, and partners\nMaintain accurate financial records and documentation to support audit, tax, and internal review processes\nEnsure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards such as GAAP or IFRS\nAssist in providing financial data and analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planning\nCollaborate with internal teams and external auditors to support the successful completion of audits\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.\nMust have completed NYSC or have a valid exemption letter.\nAt least 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role.\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, vlookups, data manipulation).\nBasic understanding of accounting principles and the financial close process.\nHigh attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.\nAbility to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nNice to Have:\nExperience working in healthcare, insurance, fintech, or a regulated industry.\nFamiliarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar platforms.\nExposure to reconciliations involving claims, premiums, or provider payments.\nProfessional certification or progress toward ICAN or ACCA\nBenefits\nAt Reliance Health, we prioritize our people and their well-being.
