The Therapy Coordinator will achieve specific patient care, customer service, and financial objectives through effective scheduling of staff according to patient care needs. Maintains professional conduct, including positive levels of interaction and rapport with facilities and clients. Represents Reliant Rehabilitation commitment to quality and services in all interactions with facility and clients, as well as adheres to Reliant Rehabilitation’s Policies and Procedures.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nAssign patient scheduling and other responsibilities to staff as needed.\nCommunicate and coordinate department functions with other services in a constructive manner that promotes team rapport and effectiveness.\nCommunicate effectively with administration regarding department programs, goals, objectives, risks, and successes.\nParticipate in utilization review, quality assurance, resident care conferences, admission meetings, department head meetings, community education planning, and/or rehabilitation conferences.\nEnsure timely and accurate reporting of MDS information.\nEnsure timely and accurate billing of services provided and completion of required documentation.\nMaintain valid state license (where appropriate). Maintain awareness of issues related to the profession of occupational therapy and the health care environment.\nUnderstands various relevant payment models related to billing and treatment guidelines, as well as clinically appropriate means/modes of delivery.
