Unlike larger organizations, our engineers work directly across design, build, integration, and technical problem-solving.\nThis role is ideal for engineers who enjoy designing and maturing real hardware in CAD, solving practical mechanical problems, and working closely with fabrication, assembly, and integration teams.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nDesign mechanical components, assemblies, fixtures, and support hardware in SolidWorks for defense and aerospace applications\nDevelop detailed, manufacturing-ready CAD models and engineering drawings from technical requirements, analyst inputs, and engineering concepts\nCollaborate closely with analysts, engineers, designers, machinists, and technical staff to mature concepts into buildable hardware\nEvaluate mechanical fit, function, tolerances, manufacturability, and assembly considerations during design development\nDevelop and maintain CAD models and product definition inputs that support drawing production\nParticipate in drawing release, revision control, and engineering change processes using company product definition standards\nSupport prototype builds, hardware integration, troubleshooting, testing, and installation activities to ensure design intent is achieved\nParticipate in technical and peer design reviews and contribute practical engineering solutions to mechanical design challenges\nRequired Qualifications\nBS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering discipline\n5+ years of experience designing mechanical hardware and assemblies in SolidWorks\nStrong proficiency creating manufacturing-ready CAD models and engineering drawings\nWorking knowledge of GD&T, tolerance considerations, and mechanical drawing standards\nExperience designing mechanical assemblies intended for fabrication, integration, or field use\nStrong practical mechanical problem-solving skills and engineering judgment\nActive Secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a clearance\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM)\nFamiliarity with ASME Y14.100, Engineering Product Definition and Related Documentation Practices\nExperience supporting prototype builds, hardware integration, troubleshooting, or installation\nExperience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries\nFamiliarity with machined parts, welded structures, sheet metal, precision assemblies, or electromechanical packaging\nThis is a full-time salaried position with highly competitive compensation based on experience and skills, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth.
