All for the benefit of every patient.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Journal Manager, you will be the first point of contact for customers on a portfolio of academic journals. Your focus will be on providing excellent customer service and ensuring the journals run smoothly. With a helicopter view, you'll spot problems before they happen, putting solutions in place to improve the journal publication process.\nResponsibilities\nEmploying the highest level of customer service, act as the primary day-to-day contact for queries for internal and external customers \nCompleting tasks and re-plan issues in Elsevier’s workflow management system, ensuring accurate and timely status reporting \nPreparing standard or custom reports as needed to society editorial offices and journal publishers \nParticipating continuous improvement, working with colleagues to review processes and performance, ensuring high levels of quality and customer satisfaction \nManaging the process for assigned journals, providing editorial process support to stakeholders, and ensuring timeliness and accuracy to production schedules \nRequirements\nBe fluent in English (oral and written) and have excellent all-round communication skills \nHave solid organization, planning and change management skills \nShow an aptitude for proofreading and excellent attention to detail \nBe proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. \nHave a Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism or related field of study \n5 years + Experience in a customer service role \nWork in a way that works for you\nWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
