The role combines legal analysis, editorial expertise, legislative monitoring, legal research, and AI-assisted content development to deliver high-quality legal content that meets customer needs while adhering to publishing schedules, editorial standards, and quality benchmarks.\nThe position supports the full editorial lifecycle, from legal research and content development through publication, maintenance, and continuous product enhancement. It also works closely with technology, product, commercial, and operations teams to improve editorial processes, develop AI-enabled workflows, and expand legal content offerings.\nResponsibilities\nEditorial & Legal Content Management\nDevelop, review, edit, and maintain legal commentary, analytical content, legislation, and related legal publications.\nAnalyse legislative changes and implement statutory updates accurately across print and digital products.\nDraft and maintain editorial content including editor's notes, effective date notes, legislative histories, annotations, cross-references, and explanatory materials.\nMonitor legal developments, case law, legislation, court rules, and regulatory changes to ensure assigned products remain current.\nPerform legal research to verify legal authorities, citations, statutory history, and editorial accuracy.\nConduct proofreading review and quality assurance across all publishing platforms.\nPrepare original legal content, research material, and analytical commentary where required.\nLegislative Analysis\nAnalyse Bills, Acts, regulations, and legislative amendments.\nPrepare legislative roadmaps identifying amendments, repeals, commencement dates, transitional provisions, and downstream impacts on codified legislation.\nAssess the impact of legislative developments across multiple publications and legal databases.\nMaintain legislative cross-references and statutory relationships to ensure consistency and completeness.\nAI-Enabled Editorial Workflows\nReview, validate, edit, and improve AI-generated legal content.\nApply legal and editorial expertise to ensure AI outputs are accurate, complete, and aligned with publishing standards.\nIdentify opportunities to improve AI models, editorial workflows, prompts, and quality assurance processes.\nCollaborate with technology teams to support the integration of AI into editorial production.\nProject & Product Management\nDeliver assigned publications and updates in accordance with publishing schedules and commercial priorities.\nManage multiple concurrent editorial projects while maintaining quality and timeliness.\nSupport ongoing product development initiatives, digital content enhancements, and new legal publishing solutions.\nParticipate in annual product reviews to evaluate content quality, customer value, and future development opportunities.\nStakeholder & Relationship Management\nManage relationships with authors, subject matter experts, freelancers, vendors, and external contributors.\nCoordinate manuscript delivery, editorial feedback, quality improvements, and publication timelines.\nCollaborate with editorial, technology, commercial, production, and operations teams to deliver high-quality legal content.\nRespond to customer queries and complaints, preparing clear, accurate, and professional responses where required.\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve editorial processes, publishing workflows, and quality standards.\nContribute to best practice development across legal publishing, legislation maintenance, and AI-assisted editorial operations.\nStay informed on developments in legal publishing, legal technology, and AI to support continuous innovation.\nExperience & Requirements\nJD, LLB, or equivalent law degree.\nStrong legal research, analytical, and legal writing skills.\nExcellent editorial, proofreading, and attention to detail.\nSound understanding of statutory interpretation, legislation, legal research, and legal publishing.\nExperience working with Microsoft Office applications and online legal research tools.\nStrong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.\nPreferred\nExperience in legal publishing, editorial, or legal practice.\nExperience maintaining legislation or analytical legal content.\nFamiliarity with legal databases, citation standards, and publishing workflows.\nExperience working with AI-enabled editorial tools or legal technology platforms.\nUnderstanding of digital publishing, content management systems, and product development.\nKnowledge or understanding of XML will be an added advantage.\nCommercial awareness and customer-focused mindset.\n\nWe know your well-being and happiness are key to a long and successful career.
