Working closely with engineering, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams, DBAs play a key role in delivering resilient and scalable data services that power business-critical applications.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking candidates with deep production support experience in MySQL replication, database reliability engineering, and cloud-based database platforms. Experience with Azure, AWS, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB is highly desirable. The ideal candidate combines traditional database administration expertise with modern DevOps, SRE, automation, and cloud engineering capabilities and is passionate about building highly reliable, scalable, secure, and automated database platforms.\nResponsibilities\nManage and optimize MySQL databases in large-scale production environments.\nDesign and support highly available, disaster recovery, and multi-region database architectures.\nPerform database upgrades, patching, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and capacity planning.\nBuild automation and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and scripting tools.\nSupport cloud-hosted databases in Azure and AWS environments.\nImplement monitoring, observability, incident response, and root cause analysis processes.\nPartner with engineering teams to improve database reliability, CI/CD, and cloud modernization initiatives.\nParticipate in on-call rotations and production support.\nRequirements\nExperience as a MySQL DBA, Database Engineer, or Reliability Engineer.\nExpertise in MySQL replication, HA/DR architectures, backup/recovery, security, and performance tuning.\nExperience supporting cloud database platforms in Azure and/or AWS.\nStrong automation skills using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.\nExperience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.\nKnowledge of observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, ELK, Azure Monitor, or CloudWatch.\nStrong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nExperience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or Oracle is beneficial.\nKnowledge of SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, incident management, and post-mortems.\nExperience with cloud modernization, platform engineering, and self-service automation.\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted operations and engineering productivity tools.\n\nU.S. National Base Pay Range: $95,300 - $158,800.
