You will own the data, analytics, and reporting that help teams understand the financial impact of AI adoption, while building scalable solutions that support effective decision-making and sustainable growth. This role offers an opportunity to partner closely with engineering, product, and finance stakeholders to improve visibility, forecasting, and cost efficiency.\nOur operating model is built around enablement rather than gatekeeping. Product and engineering teams evaluate models and select the options that best meet their needs. Your role is to make the cost implications of those choices visible early, clearly, and credibly so teams can make informed decisions. The goal is to influence through trusted data and practical insight, not through unnecessary approval processes.\nResponsibilities\nOwn AI cost modeling and attribution across tokens, models, products, teams, and shared infrastructure.\nDefine unit-cost metrics that distinguish usage growth from efficiency changes.\nMaintain accurate, explainable cost data with clear lineage and defensible methodology.\nBuild Python pipelines that normalize telemetry, provider API data, platform usage, and cloud billing into trusted datasets.\nAutomate recurring reporting, month-end close support, and anomaly detection.\nDevelop practical BI dashboards for engineering teams and credible reporting for Finance stakeholders.\nAnalyze cost movements and explain drivers, expected impacts, and forward-looking implications.\nIdentify, quantify, and track optimization opportunities across model selection, prompt efficiency, caching, batching, retrieval, commitments, and tooling overlap.\nRequirements\nExperience in FinOps, cloud cost management, technology finance, data analytics, or a related analytical role.\nStrong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to explain methodology, assumptions, and results.\nWorking knowledge of AI inference cost drivers, including tokens, context length, model tier, caching, retrieval patterns, and agentic workload behavior.\nPython experience building APIs, data pipelines, normalized datasets, and repeatable automation.\nStrong SQL skills and dashboard-building experience in Power BI or Tableau for technical and finance audiences.\nComfort using AI-assisted development tools such as Codex or Claude to accelerate analysis, automation, documentation, or pipeline work.\nAutomation-first mindset focused on scalable reporting and reduced manual effort.\nClear written communication that turns complex cost data into concise, actionable narratives.\nWork in a Way That Works for You\nWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
