You can learn more about Cirium at https://www.cirium.com/\nAbout the Role\nAs a Software Engineering Lead, you will join Cirium’s Software Engineering team to design, develop, and improve enterprise software throughout the full development lifecycle. You will provide technical leadership, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, mentor engineers, and help advance modern engineering practices and technologies, including GenAI. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to scalable, reliable solutions that support Cirium’s market-leading aviation analytics platforms.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, refactor, test and maintain reliable enterprise software and services.\nLead technical design, code reviews, testing and root-cause analysis to maintain a high-quality codebase.\nTranslate complex product and data requirements into scalable software solutions.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Customer Support and other stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver products effectively.\nImprove engineering practices, development environments, system performance, security and code quality.\nContribute to project planning, delivery, system stability and cloud cost management.\nExplore and introduce relevant technologies and approaches, including GenAI.\nMentor and coach engineers, delegate effectively and support people-management activities where applicable.\nRequirements\nSoftware engineering experience, including experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\nStrong programming experience with Java, Python and/or Node.js, alongside test-driven development and automated testing.\nHands-on cloud experience with AWS and/or GCP, including services such as EKS, ECS, Lambda and SQS.\nExperience with containerisation and infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform and Helm.\nExperience working with complex data models and platforms such as Snowflake, Postgres, Redshift or comparable large-scale data technologies.\nComfortable with modern engineering tooling such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Maven, Cucumber and mocking frameworks.\nAbility to design and document technical solutions, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and apply engineering best practices.\nEnjoy mentoring others, solving complex problems, learning new technologies and contributing to an inclusive, collaborative engineering culture\n.\n\nWe know your well-being and happiness are key to a long and successful career.
