About the role:
A Sr Workday Analyst is responsible for design, management and control of Workday configuration to support global/local enhancements or change requests, as well as ongoing support and maintenance. The role requires an investigative nature, the desire to problem solve, and the ability to think outside of the box. The Sr Workday Analyst will be required to present functional solutions to key stakeholders, to gain approval to progress the changes whilst protecting the global design template and promoting the Workday brand. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Workday Systems Support & Analysis - Provide functional systems support and analysis, leveraging Workday technology to meet business and HR requirements effectively.
- Business Requirements Gathering - Engage with HR stakeholders and end users across the organization to understand business requirements, translate them into system solutions, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Workday Configuration & Process Optimization - Review existing configurations and processes, identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual administration, and drive continuous process enhancements.
- Workday Releases & Enhancements - Stay updated on Workday functional improvements, new features, releases, and localizations; assess their impact and make recommendations while ensuring successful twice-yearly Workday releases.
- Reporting, Dashboards & Self-Service - Build and maintain Workday reports and dashboards that support business decision-making, improve visibility, and enable greater self-service for end users.
- System Consultancy & Stakeholder Management - Act as a Workday functional expert and consultant for business partners, end users, Product Owners, and customers, supporting both small and large system changes and projects within the assigned functional area.
- Testing, Change Control & System Integrity - Manage end-to-end testing of Workday enhancements and upgrades, ensure adherence to change control and governance processes, maintain system integrity and compliance, and assess downstream impacts on other technologies and systems.
- Knowledge Transfer & End-to-End Process Support - Own knowledge transfer to Tier 2 support teams and contribute to user procedures, guidelines, documentation, training, and communications; understand end-to-end Workday processes to provide guidance, identify gaps, and support effective resolution of issues.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of hands-on Workday experience, with strong expertise in Workday HCM, Security, Business Processes, and Reporting. Workday Pro or Consultant certification is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of HR disciplines and processes, with significant experience in HR system administration, support, and troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to make routine decisions and appropriately challenge stakeholders in line with policies and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Strong learning agility and adaptability, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment and manage competing priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good IT literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and experience with case management/support tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, follow established processes and controls, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines.
