This is a high-impact role supporting our internal team’s (primarily macOS) technology needs. This position is responsible for managing IT infrastructure, hardware and software provisioning, responding to help desk requests, and collaborating on cybersecurity and compliance initiatives. Reporting to our future VP, Engineering, the role will be in-person at our office in Vancouver.\nThe ideal candidate is a proven problem solver who is proactive, responsive, and familiar with Mac and Windows environments, Google Workspace, Microsoft Azure, and cybersecurity standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevice Management & Provisioning: Set up and manage Mac and Windows laptops, ensure proper onboarding/offboarding of users.\n\nOffice & Network Infrastructure: Maintain office network (Wi-Fi, firewalls, printers, conference room setups); troubleshoot connectivity issues.\n\nSoftware & License Management: Administer licenses for SaaS platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, etc.).\n\nIdentity & Access Management: Manage user accounts, SSO, MFA, and identity policies across tools.\n\nCybersecurity & Compliance: Partner with Engineering and DevOps to manage endpoint protection, implement policies using MDM, Azure, and Google Admin, and support SOC2 / ISO 27001 readiness.\n\nVendor Management: Coordinate with IT vendors, ISPs, and software providers.\n\nDocumentation & Process Building: Create IT policies, user guides, and knowledge base articles.\n\nAd Hoc Support: Provide tech support for employees and help troubleshoot productivity tools.\n\nWho You Are\n3+ years of IT generalist experience, ideally in a cloud-first or SaaS startup environment.\n\nEducation: An associate degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, would be preferred.\n\nDevice Management: Strong experience with macOS and Windows device management (Jamf & Intune).\n\nCloud & Identity: High familiarity with Google Workspace administration and SSO (Azure AD).\n\nNetworking: Working knowledge of networking (Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS, firewalls).\n\nSecurity & Compliance: Experience implementing or supporting cybersecurity programs (endpoint protection, access controls, phishing defense - using Jamf, Google, and other tools). Experience supporting compliance frameworks like SOC2 is a plus.\n\nTools & Operations: Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (Jira) and basic troubleshooting for Mac and PC environments.\n\nSkills & Mindset: Excellent organizational and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
