This role features a split between hands-on engineering and technical management. You will serve as a key technical contributor to our core Django-based platform while driving daily agile operations, pragmatic unblocking, and translating product roadmaps into structured technical requirements.\nWhat You’ll Do\nTechnical & Team Leadership (50%): Lead sprint ceremonies, including planning, grooming, and daily standups for your engineering pod to ensure smooth execution and momentum.\n\nHands-On Engineering (50%): Write, review, and maintain clean, performant, and secure production code across our Python/Django backend, Angular and React frontend, and PostgreSQL databases.\n\nMentorship & Quality Standards: Guide developers through constructive code reviews, technical design sessions, and continuous mentorship while upholding security and architectural standards.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers to align technical specs, architecture, and sprint deliverables with the overall product roadmap.\n\nSystem Health & Integrations: Oversee system architecture, database performance, complex ORM query optimization, and the resilience of our 3rd-party ERP integration pipelines (REST APIs, webhooks, OCR extraction).\n\nYour first 90 days\nDays 1-30: System familiarization, deep dive into core Django architecture, and delivering clean backend code.\n\nDays 31-60: Establish yourself as a reliable technical contributor and coordinate with product managers on backlog details.\n\nBy Day 90: Transition fully into pod leadership, taking ownership of sprint cycles, daily standups, and code reviews.\n\nWhat You Bring\nExperience: 6+ years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced B2B SaaS or product startup environment.\n\nLeadership Potential: High leadership aptitude with a desire to step into a leading role.
