Headquartered in San Francisco, Remedy is backed by DCVC, Blackbird, and Tony Fadell's Build Collective, among others.\nWe’re looking for a motivated and experienced technician to build electromechanical hardware for novel, life saving surgical robots.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild, modify, troubleshoot, and validate first-of-their-kind mechanical and electrical prototypes to support engineering development and testing.\n\nWork directly with engineers to interpret drawings, CAD models, and napkin sketches and turn them into functional prototypes.\n\nIdentify build issues and recommend improvements to designs, tooling, assembly methods, and overall prototype manufacturability.\n\nSet up, organize, and maintain prototype work areas, tooling, fixtures, and shop equipment to support a safe and efficient build environment.\n\nWork with engineers to create assembly documentation to share with contract manufacturers.\n\nYou Have\n2+ years of hands-on experience in prototype, R&D, engineering, or advanced manufacturing environments supporting fast-paced product development.\n\nExperience building complex electromechanical assemblies directly from CAD models and engineering drawings.\n\nComfortable and proficient using a wide variety of shop equipment, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment in a safe and efficient manner.\n\nExperience with wiring of electrical components in a prototype or manufacturing setting.\n\nStrong communication skills and the ability to give engineers helpful assembly feedback.\n\nYou’re able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a hands-on lab/warehouse environment.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience operating manual mills, lathes, or other machine tools.
