We have domestic ammunition manufacturing facilities in Minnesota, Idaho, Arkansas, and Missouri, and service law enforcement, government agencies and sporting enthusiasts throughout the world. Today, The Kinetic Group is a part of the Ammo+ division of The Czechoslovak Group (CSG), which holds a diverse portfolio of companies in the defense, security, automotive, aerospace and rail industries.\nWe are looking for aProcess Engineer to join the team. The Process Engineer will plan, manage, and coordinate projects and processes using the latest technologies to develop new processes, improve production efficiencies and resolve manufacturing challenges.\nThis position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is based out of ourLonoke, Arkansas office.\nAs the Process Engineer, you will:\nInitiate process changes and improvements, maintain process records and drawings.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.\n\nIdentify root causes and implement corrective actions.\n\nAnalyzes operational data such as production costs, process flow charts and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of employees, tooling, supplies, and equipment.\n\nRecommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste.\n\nWork effectively and collaboratively with a cross discipline team.\n\nInitiate and lead engineering projects including cost improvements and capital projects.\n\nWrite technical reports and present them to management and other interested parties.\n\nEffectively communicate with manufacturing personnel and management.\n\nRegularly interact with and provide technical guidance to manufacturing and shop personnel.\n\nAssists in training production personnel in work instruction and procedures.\n\nUnderstand product specifications and interpret test data.\n\nUnderstand how manufacturing processes affect the performance characteristics of the product.\n\nExperience you bring:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering/Science discipline\n\nStrong mechanical aptitude.\n\nExcellent organizational, communication, project management and teamwork skills.\n\nExceptional problem solving ability.\n\nFamiliarity with manufacturing operations and lean principles.\n\nHands on experience with machining and manufacturing equipment.\n\nSolidWorks or CAD.\n\nInfrequent travel required.\n\nPreferred:\nKnowledge and experience with ammunition, handloading, hunting, shooting, and firearms.\n\nMetallurgical knowledge of copper alloys and tool steels/carbides.\n\nExperience in metal forming and/or high volume manufacturing.\n\nExperience in tool and fixture design.\n\nExperience with cold heading\n\nWork Environment:\nEmployee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives.
