There’s plenty to do, so we’re looking for a software developer for embedded/gateway systems to join our team. You’ll be working on customer projects directly with our clients. You develop data collection systems that gather and process large amounts of data from thousands of devices and transform the data into valuable information for our customers.

About the role

As a Developer, your primary goal is to create customer-driven features for heavy machinery and industrial solutions. You implement specifications developed in close collaboration with customers, ensuring system functionality, reliability, and optimization. You are responsible for solving technical challenges and delivering high-quality development, maintenance, and consulting services tailored to customer needs.

Additionally, you work closely with customers to troubleshoot technical issues and turn their requirements into practical, efficient solutions.

We value long-term customer partnerships. Customer relationships last for years, and projects are carried out as needed. Some of our customers have dedicated teams that work within the same customer continuously and for a very long period of time.

We aim to work in an AI-assisted development model where intelligent agents are key part of software development process. Developers act as architects, supervisors, and quality owners.

We value experience working alongside AI tools and coding agents, where you guide execution, review outputs critically, and ensure architectural integrity. You understand that the future of software development is less about typing code line-by-line and more about designing systems, validating AI-generated output, and maintaining technical excellence. You work as a mentor for AI agents.

Are you the one we are searching for?

You have worked in similar positions and have proven successes. Additionally, knowledge of heavy machinery or industrial environments and/or the Industrial IoT is a familiar concept to you. Knowledge of the engineering industry is considered an advantage.

You have a natural precision and eye for software design. We hope you are proactive, ask when you get stuck, and are ready to help colleagues.

Ideally, we’re looking for someone based in the Pirkanmaa area who enjoys a strong office culture and likes coming to the office. There’s no office mandate, but at Remion we do believe that in-person collaboration and everyday face-to-face encounters bring real value. We’re also putting a lot of effort into developing our office culture and making the office a place where people genuinely enjoy spending time.
