That foundation is no longer just for people: we're building for AI agents as first-class users of our platform too. If you want to shape cloud infrastructure for both the developers and the agents that will build on it, this is that seat.\nThe Cloud Team designs, builds, and operates Remitly's AWS cloud foundation - the networking fabric and infrastructure tooling that every product team depends on. We manage cloud infrastructure at significant scale (hundreds to thousands of accounts),move money for millions of customers, and treat reliability, security, and operational excellence as non-negotiable.\nAs a Cloud Engineer, you'll focus on our cloud networking stack and the infrastructure-as-code that defines it. You'll design and build network topology in Terraform, operate connectivity that every product team and payments partner depends on, and troubleshoot complex issues across a large multi-account, multi-region AWS environment. You'll work alongside senior engineers who lead our larger architecture and platform-software efforts, growing your depth as you take on more ownership over time.\nThis is also a great fit if you're a strong networking or DevOps engineer who wants to grow into writing code. You'll manage and operate networks at real scale, and you'll get the room - and the support - to level up from Terraform into building and maintaining Go services that run our platform. We'll back you learning to code here, not just tolerate it.\nYou Will:\nDesign, build, and evolve Remitly's cloud networking in Terraform: VPC design and subnetting, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, and load balancing across a multi-account, multi-region topology.\nOwn and operate our partner and bank connectivity network - VPNs (IPSec/IKEv2), Direct Connect, and BGP routing to financial partners worldwide.\nHelp operate and improve our edge infrastructure - CloudFront distributions, AWS Shield, WAF configurations, and CDN failover strategies.\nTroubleshoot complex network issues across distributed cloud environments, applying knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing, and traffic flow analysis.\nWrite clean, modular, reviewable Terraform, and improve how our infrastructure is structured, versioned, tested, deployed, and monitored.\nOwn delivery of well-scoped infrastructure work end to end: break requirements into tasks, estimate your own effort, and ship high-quality, well-tested changes.\nContribute to multi-account governance and the paved-path abstractions that reduce cognitive load for the broader engineering org - for both human developers and AI agents.\nCollaborate with SRE, Security, and Platform teams to embed observability, compliance, and operational excellence into our cloud foundation.\nParticipate in the on-call rotation (5-person weekly rotation); occasional late syncs with Seattle (4-6 PM CET).\nYou Have:\nDeep knowledge of cloud networking: VPC design and subnetting, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, and load balancing.\nSolid understanding of TCP/IP and network traffic flow analysis, with the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues across distributed environments.\nStrong hands-on experience building and operating infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).\n3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure, with hands-on AWS depth.\nExperience operating production infrastructure, and an understanding of best practices for versioning, deployment, and CI/CD.\nFamiliarity with edge services (CloudFront, WAF, Shield) or partner connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect, BGP) is a plus.\nUnderstanding of multi-account governance and organizational tooling; Kubernetes/EKS familiarity is a plus.\nA desire to grow into writing code (we use Go); existing backend/scripting experience is a plus, but we'll help you build this skill on the job.\nOur Benefits:\nEquity in the company - RSUs\nEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)\n26 days paid holiday + additional company days off\nRoyalties (KUP)\nHybrid working model (our office is in the Kraków City Centre)\nCommute allowance\nHealth/Dental Coverage - LUX MED VIP for employee and family\nLife Insurance\nTravel Insurance\nPluxee Lunch Card/Multisport Card\nEducation Budget\nMental Health program for employee\nFamily planning program\nEmployee Pension Plan (PPK)\nCompensation Details\nThe starting base salary range for this position is typically zł 245,000 - 275,000 per annum.
