We empower our global operations teams to ensure customers get the help they need, whenever they need it. As a member of this team, you will be directly responsible for enhancing both the customer and agent experience, ensuring frictionless access to support.\nAs a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will focus on driving innovation and expanding our new, next-generation Customer Success platform by architecting new workflows and launching entirely new, high-impact capabilities. You will build rich, intuitive user experiences that empower our agents and customers alike, while capitalizing on unique opportunities to integrate Agentic AI for inbound contact handling and back-office automation. You will be responsible for workflows that immediately impact our core user experiences while working in tandem with world-class Product and cross-functional engineering teams.\nYou Will:\nLead the technical strategy and systems of the Customer Success Technology engineering team.\nContribute to the architecture and technical roadmap of our software systems, balancing short-term goals with long-term scalability and maintainability.\nUphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter.\nCollaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality software solutions.\nArchitect and implement solutions for complex, ambiguous problems encompassing frontend interfaces, backend systems, and agentic AI applications to deliver rich user experiences, optimized contact handling, and back-office automation.\nTroubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications\nReport directly to an Engineering Manager within the Customer Success Technology organization.\nYou Have:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.\n6+ years of experience in software engineering in a team environment\nExperience as a lead, working on both the frontend, backend, and anything it takes and delight users both internally and externally\nExperience leading other engineers on large features in collaboration with Product Management and other partners.\nExposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines\nHands-on experience leveraging modern AI development tools (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor) to accelerate development, debugging, and code optimization.\nBonus: Experience or exposure to AI engineering applications is a plus!\nCompensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $152,000 to $190,000 CAD. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
