We deploy in regions facing severe CO₂ shortages, where prices are highest, allowing us to generate high margins without relying on tax credits or carbon credits. \nWe’ve raised over $115 million in funding from top investors including Lowercarbon Capital, Union Square Ventures, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, and Valor Equity Partners.\nResponsibilities \nOwn the day-to-day operation and performance of deployed carbon capture systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation.\nDevelop and implement standard operating procedures, maintenance programs, operating standards, and escalation processes for field operations. \nMonitor fleet performance, system uptime, reliability, maintenance needs, and key operational KPIs. \nCoordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities with Field Service, Engineering, vendors, and contractors. \nLead troubleshooting and root-cause resolution of operational issues, ensuring problems are documented, communicated, and permanently addressed. \nPartner with Commissioning and Engineering to transition newly deployed systems from startup and commissioning into steady-state operations. \nBuild operational processes that can scale from the first commercial systems to a multi-site fleet. \nManage spare parts, consumables, service requirements, and other resources necessary to maintain system availability. \nEstablish preventative and predictive maintenance strategies that improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. \nSupport the hiring, training, and development of operators, technicians, and other field operations personnel as the fleet grows. \nMaintain strong safety standards and ensure field operations comply with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements. \nPartner cross-functionally with Engineering to provide structured feedback from the field and drive improvements in system design, reliability, maintainability, and serviceability. \nManage relationships with site partners, contractors, service providers, and other external stakeholders supporting operations. \nRequirements \n7+ years of experience in operations, field operations, manufacturing, industrial equipment, energy, chemical processing, power generation, or related environment.\nExperience operating or supporting complex industrial equipment or process systems in the field. \nDemonstrated experience building and improving operational processes, SOPs, maintenance programs, and performance metrics. \nExperience managing technicians, contractors, or other frontline teams. \nStrong understanding of equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis. \nExperience working closely with engineering and technical teams to resolve equipment and operational issues. \nExperience with power generation, generators, industrial gas systems, rotating \nHere’s what we value:\nMission First: We are laser-focused on our mission. We have chosen to take on the defining challenge of our time, and we don’t shy away from the hard decisions required to put our mission first, no matter how tough. The world needs our technology and it won’t happen any time soon if we don’t make it happen. We are a low-ego team, and we prioritize the mission over our self-interest. We think strategically with an eye to the long term, and we clearly separate what must be done well now, and what can be improved later, despite ambiguity.\nBurning Urgency: Our hard-core intensity and work ethic match the crisis we’re in. We have a strong bias toward action, and we execute with focus and speed. In the absence of guidance, we take charge, lead our teammates, and accomplish our goals. We aren’t afraid to change course when something isn’t working, and we find solutions even when it seems like there are none. We are cool under pressure, and our quiet determination and drive are unwavering. We relentlessly push ourselves and each other to improve. We don’t accept adequate performance. Excellence is the expectation. Many would say our standards are unreasonably high, and many would say our goals are unreasonably bold, but we are hungry to be exceptional. We will never give up, no matter what. If we get knocked down, we get back up, every time. We will not fail.\nUncompromising Honesty: We are always honest with ourselves, our teammates, our customers, our investors, our suppliers, our communities, and all of our partners, especially about what’s not going well and what we don’t know. When we see issues, risks, or challenges, we speak up, and when we make mistakes, we admit them proactively and take full accountability. We challenge others directly when we disagree, even when it’s uncomfortable, and we seek this uncompromising honesty from others.\nTreat People Exceptionally Well: We care intensely about everyone who is on this mission with us, and our standard is exceptional respect for our teammates, partners, and communities. Teammates who bring different perspectives and backgrounds are essential to our success, and we empower everyone to share their voice. We listen to truly understand. We constantly encourage and help our teammates, and inspire each other with our enthusiasm and optimism.\nJoyful Curiosity: We love to learn, and we learn quickly. We explore the unknown with wonder and excitement. We reason from first principles. We generate original ideas with an open mind and test them quickly in the real world. We take risks and adapt as we discover more. We explore many ideas in parallel, and we don’t count on a silver bullet solution. We share our ideas freely with our teammates. We are skeptical about conventional wisdom, and we question every assumption and requirement. We are always looking for ways to simplify. We are rigorous and attentive to detail. We are eager to understand all aspects of our business and technology, and we contribute effectively outside our individual specialties. We never stop learning.\nLogistics:\n Location: Wixom, MI (in-person required)\nStart date: ASAP\nCompensation and Benefits:\nSalary: $109,000 - $153,000\nCompetitive Stock Options\nHealthcare (BCBS)\nRetirement (401k)\nStudent loan assistance\nThree weeks of paid time off\nDependent care assistance (childcare or eldercare)\nParental leave\nUnlimited sick compassionate leave\nEmployee development and coaching\nStudies show that many qualified candidates hesitate to apply unless they meet every listed qualification. If you’re enthusiastic about this role-even if you don’t meet every requirement-we encourage you to apply.
