This role requires current, hands-on use of AI coding tools (Claude, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or equivalent) as a normal part of daily work, not as an occasional add-on, and the ability to explain and defend any AI-generated code before it reaches a pull request.\nKey Responsibilities:\nUse AI coding tools as your default way of working across code, tests, and documentation, reviewing and testing everything before it goes into a pull request\nBuild and maintain AEM Sites components, templates, and Sling Models under the guidance of senior engineers\nConfigure and support AEM Assets, including Digital Asset Management (DAM) workflows\nDevelop backend services in Java (Spring, REST APIs), contributing to integration work with enterprise systems\nBuild componentised frontend experiences using React JS or an equivalent framework, applying WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility guidance\nWork to Git branching and pull request standards, taking part in code review as both author and reviewer\nResolve CI/CD build failures and quality gate issues rather than handing them on\nWrite and maintain automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium\nTake ownership of features within a sprint, escalating design questions to senior engineers or architects\nParticipate fully in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and showcases\nQualifications and Requirements:\n4-6+ years in full stack software engineering, with at least 2 years on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)\nDemonstrated, current use of AI coding assistants (Claude/Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or equivalent) across code, tests, and documentation, with the ability to explain and defend AI-generated code you commit\nAEM Sites component and template development: Sling Models, HTL/Sightly, client libraries, OSGi services\nHands-on experience with AEM Assets, including DAM workflows and metadata basics\nStrong core Java (Java 8+), Spring, and RESTful API design\nReact JS or an equivalent modern frontend framework; component-driven development; working awareness of WCAG 2.1 AA\nExperience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium for automated testing\nExperience working in Agile teams with active participation in Scrum ceremonies\nGood written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working closely with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams\nNice to have: exposure to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), Content Fragments/GraphQL, Edge Delivery Services, CRM integrations (Salesforce/Dynamics), Adobe Analytics, or an Adobe Certification\nClient Overview:\nThe company is a boutique Adobe-specialist, MarTech, and AI consultancy, delivering Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Data, and Digital Experience engagements for clients across financial services, government, tourism, retail, and beverages.
