However, this is not a standalone client accountant role.\nYour focus will be:\nOperational execution\n\nWorkflow coordination\n\nSystem management\n\nCapacity oversight\n\nThis is an independent contributor role for someone who thrives in structured environments, respects systems, and knows how to improve efficiency without disrupting operational stability.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nOperational Coordination (Accounting Practice)\nCoordinate daily workflow across bookkeeping, payroll, reconciliations and reporting\n\nEnsure all work is structured, assigned and tracked in ClickUp\n\nMonitor team capacity against client service agreements\n\nProactively identify and resolve bottlenecks\n\nMaintain organised documentation within Google Workspace\n\nSystems & Process Management\nUphold and protect existing SOPs for Australian bookkeeping and management accounting\n\nMaintain and optimise ClickUp dashboards, workflows and templates\n\nEnsure full task visibility, traceability and accountability\n\nSupport workflow automation where appropriate\n\nChampion consistent system usage across the team\n\nExecutive Support to CEO\nAssist the CEO with operational planning and prioritisation\n\nPrepare clear operational summaries and workload insights\n\nSupport implementation of internal initiatives\n\nTrack action items and ensure follow-through\n\nQuality & Commercial Oversight\nConduct preliminary quality checks on reconciliations, coding and workpapers\n\nMonitor scope adherence and flag out-of-scope work\n\nAssist with oversight of aged receivables and internal tracking\n\nStep in hands-on when required to keep deadlines on track\n\nInternal Administration\nMaintain clean and structured digital filing systems\n\nOversee licences, subscriptions and system access\n\nSupport onboarding of new staff into tools and workflows\n\nEnsure confidentiality and protection of client IP\n\nEssential Requirements\nExperience in an accounting, bookkeeping or management accounting environment\n\nBackground in operations, practice management, admin VA or executive support within an accounting firm\n\nStrong understanding of Australian bookkeeping fundamentals (GST, BAS, payroll, super, month-end)\n\nHands-on experience with ClickUp (dashboards, workflows, templates)\n\nHigh proficiency in Google Workspace\n\nExperience with Xero, QuickBooks Online and/or MYOB\n\nStrong organisational and time management skills\n\nSystems-oriented mindset with respect for existing frameworks\n\nAbility
