fit)\nWork Roster: 9AM-5PM Brisbane Time\nLocation: Remote\nRole Summary\nWe are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong hands-on experience across both Manual and Automated Testing to help ensure the quality and reliability of web and SaaS products.\nYou will be involved throughout the SDLC, covering test planning, functional and regression testing, API validation, automation, accessibility, cross-browser/device testing, and defect management.\nThe ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and confident communicating QA findings and testing approaches with developers, stakeholders, and other QA team members.\nKey Responsibilities\nTest Planning & Manual Testing\nReview requirements, user stories, and designs to understand testing requirements.\nCreate test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.\nPerform functional, exploratory, regression, and end-to-end testing.\nIdentify, document, and track defects through to resolution.\nParticipate in Agile/Scrum sprints and QA planning.\nClearly communicate testing findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nAPI & Data Testing\nTest REST APIs and webhooks using tools such as Postman or Insomnia.\nTest complex workflows including authentication, checkout, search, dashboards, and CMS functionality.\nValidate data, content updates, and database changes.\nTest edge cases, error handling, and integration scenarios.\nConduct regression testing before releases.\nAutomation Testing\nCreate, maintain, and execute automated UI and API tests.\nBuild reusable automated regression tests for critical workflows.\nApply automation where it provides meaningful testing value.\nWork with developers to support testing within CI/CD workflows.\nUse automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, or Vitest.\nCross-Platform & Accessibility Testing\nTest responsive web applications across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.\nTest across desktop, tablet, iOS, and Android devices.\nPerform accessibility checks including keyboard navigation, screen readers, and colour contrast.\nIdentify UI, UX, performance, and visual issues.\nRequirements\n5+ years of professional QA experience.\nStrong hands-on experience in Manual Testing and test case management.\nSolid understanding of Automated Testing and automation frameworks.\nStrong experience in functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and API testing.\nPractical experience with Postman, Insomnia, or similar API testing tools.\nExperience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, or Vitest.\nExperience working with Agile/Scrum teams and tools such as Jira, Trello, or GitHub.\nGood understanding of web applications, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript behaviour.\nExperience testing across browsers and multiple devices.\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.\nAbility to clearly explain testing decisions, findings, and technical issues.\nNice to Have\nExperience with React, Next.js, Node.js, or Headless CMS.\nKnowledge of WCAG and accessibility testing.\nBasic SQL/database knowledge.\nExperience with CI/CD and GitHub Actions.\nExperience working with e-commerce or SaaS products.\nExperience mentoring or supporting other QA team members.\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nCritical and high-priority bugs are identified before reaching production.\nTesting is completed within agreed sprint and release timelines.\nTest documentation remains clear, accurate, and reliable.\nAutomated test coverage is improved for critical workflows where appropriate.\nProduction issues are reduced through effective manual and automated regression testing.\nBugs are reported clearly with accurate steps to reproduce and supporting information.\nQA findings and risks are communicated clearly to the wider
