Being part of Remote People means being part of a growing, international family.\nOverview\nWe're seeking an Intermediate DevOps Engineer with solid infrastructure fundamentals, a platform-first mindset, and a drive to grow fast in a high-ownership environment.\nWhat you'll be doing\nYou'll be part of our DevOps team, working closely with engineering squads across a remote-first organisation spread across Asia and Europe. Your primary focus will be on three things: keeping our platform reliable and scalable, making our observability stack actionable, and reducing friction in build and release processes so engineers can ship with confidence. You'll collaborate asynchronously and across time zones as a matter of course. AI tooling is a first-class part of how we work: you'll use it to accelerate automation and infrastructure work, while developing sharp judgment about validating its output.\nResponsibilities\nEnsure availability, reliability and security of our SaaS platform across environments\n\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines that make build, test and release processes fast, safe and self-service for engineering squads\n\nLeverage Infrastructure as Code to automate infrastructure provisioning and management\n\nImplement and improve observability tooling - metrics, logs and traces - so squads can understand system behaviour and act on it\n\nMonitor platform capacity and performance, forecasting resource needs proactively\n\nInvestigate and resolve production incidents, contributing to root cause analysis and preventive follow-up\n\nSupport engineering squads in integrating their services smoothly within the platform infrastructure\n\nUse AI tools to accelerate automation scripting and infrastructure work, with judgment to review and validate generated output\n\nRequirements\nMinimum of 3 years as a DevOps or SRE Engineer\n\nStrong understanding of DevOps principles: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Configuration Management\n\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS\n\nExperience with containerisation technologies - Docker and Kubernetes\n\nExperience with CI/CD tooling (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI)\n\nExperience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK)\n\nScripting proficiency in Python, Bash or Go\n\nAbility to communicate effectively in a remote environment - clear written communication, reliable async collaboration\n\nPreferred Skills\nFamiliarity with AI tools applied to infrastructure automation, and a willingness to build a disciplined workflow around them\n\nExperience with Terraform or comparable infrastructure automation tooling\n\nExperience working on a SaaS platform or public software product\n\nUnderstanding of security best practices in a DevOps environment\n\nSelf-directed and curious: you take ownership of your tasks, seek feedback proactively, and drive your own growth without waiting to be pushed\n\nWhat it's like working at Remote People\nOur service & product.
