Being part of Remote People means being part of a growing, international family.\nOverview\nWe're seeking an Intermediate QA Automation Engineer with solid testing fundamentals, a quality-first mindset, and a drive to grow fast in a high-ownership environment.\nWhat you'll be doing\nYou'll join one of our cross-functional squads - working alongside a Product Manager, a Designer, Front-End, Back-End and QA Engineers - building the world's best Employer of Record platform. We are a remote-first team spread across Asia and Europe, so you'll collaborate asynchronously and across time zones as a matter of course. You'll own test coverage for your squad's features, contribute to requirements review, and be expected to take increasing responsibility for quality as you grow. AI tooling is a first-class part of how we work: you'll use it to accelerate test generation and develop sharp judgment about validating its output.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop automated tests for both new features and regression scenarios\n\nConduct functional, integration and regression testing to validate application functionality against requirements, with manual testing as needed\n\nTriage and report defects accurately, tracking them from discovery through to resolution\n\nMonitor and help reduce the ratio of end-user found vs QA found defects\n\nKeep QA impact on release schedule to a minimum\n\nUse AI tools to accelerate test generation, while developing the judgment to review and validate generated tests\n\nContribute to requirements review by bringing a QA perspective\n\nRequirements\nMinimum of 3 years in Quality Assurance or Software Development roles\n\nHands-on experience with Playwright or a comparable test automation framework\n\nGood coding skills enabling efficient test automation\n\nExperience with API testing and automation\n\nFamiliarity with issue tracking tools (preferably Jira) and version control (preferably Git)\n\nAbility to communicate effectively in a remote environment - clear written communication, reliable async collaboration\n\nPreferred Skills\nFamiliarity with AI coding assistants applied to test generation, and a willingness to build a disciplined workflow around them\n\nExperience creating and maintaining manual testing plans\n\nExperience working on a SaaS platform, or at least a custom-built product\n\nFamiliarity with agile environments and frequent release cycles\n\nAwareness of DevOps practices related to QA infrastructure and CI/CD\n\nUnderstanding of web application development concepts\nSelf-directed and curious: you take ownership of your tasks, seek feedback proactively, and drive your own growth without waiting to be pushed\n\nIf you're passionate about quality assurance, automation, and enjoy working in a supportive team environment, we encourage you to apply and become a valuable part of our QA crew. \nWhat it's like working at Remote People\nOur service & product.
