The accuracy of your verification is what every visit after it depends on.\nKey Responsibilities\nInsurance Verification and Benefits (VOB)\nVerify patient insurance eligibility, network status, and active coverage prior to appointments\nConfirm deductibles, copays, coinsurance, out-of-pocket maximums, and service-specific benefits\nIdentify referral requirements and prior authorization (PA) needs by payer and service type\nNavigate payer portals and contact insurance carriers directly to verify benefits when portal information is insufficient\nAccurately document all insurance verification details in the EMR/EHR\nPatient Communication\nHandle inbound patient calls with professionalism, warmth, and efficiency\nMake outbound calls to patients for scheduling, benefit confirmations, document collection, and follow-up\nClearly communicate insurance benefit information to patients in plain, understandable language\nAddress patient questions and concerns with patience and accuracy\nScheduling and Administrative Support\nSchedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments across providers and service lines\nProcess referrals and coordinate with internal teams and external providers as needed\nVerify and update patient demographic information to maintain accurate records\nMaintain complete and organized documentation across all patient interactions and transactions\nRequirements\nDemonstrated experience in a US healthcare call center environment-this is a firm requirement\nHands-on experience conducting insurance verification and benefits checks (VOB) for US payers\nWorking knowledge of deductibles, copays, coinsurance, out-of-pocket costs, and benefit structures across commercial and government payers\nExperience identifying referral and prior authorization requirements by payer\nProficiency navigating payer portals and contacting insurance carriers\nExperience documenting insurance verification and patient interactions in an EMR or EHR system\nMedical scheduling experience, including referral coordination\nAble to work full-time, Monday through Friday, aligned to US business hours (an overnight schedule in the Philippines)\nA HIPAA-compliant remote setup: reliable high-speed internet, a quiet dedicated workspace and a quality headset\nPreferred Qualifications\nBenefits verification for diagnostic testing or equipment, for example sleep studies, imaging, or CPAP and other DME\nExperience with Medicare, Medicare Advantage HMO referrals and coordination of benefits (which plan pays first)\nExperience in a specialty outpatient practice, for example sleep medicine, pulmonology, neurology or ENT\nComfortable building simple trackers in Excel, including lookups (XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP) and pivot tables\nTools & Software\nEMR/EHR-required; specific system training provided\nPayer portals, both multi-payer and payer-specific-required\nMicrosoft 365 or Google Workspace - proficient\nMicrosoft Excel for verification and call tracking\nPhone or softphone and a quality headset for high call volume\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\nDetail-oriented.
