About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Marketing Automation & AI Automation Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced business automation systems across multiple client accounts.
This is a highly technical, hands-on role that requires experience in GoHighLevel, Zapier, Make.com, AI-powered automations, and AI agents who can independently architect, build, and maintain sophisticated automation ecosystems that improve operational efficiency and drive measurable business growth.
The ideal candidate understands both marketing automation and business process automation. Beyond creating funnels and CRM workflows, they will build intelligent AI-powered systems capable of automating complex business processes using AI agents, APIs, and no-code automation platforms.
This role works closely with agency leadership to design scalable automation strategies while supporting a growing portfolio of clients with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the agency's GoHighLevel platform, including client sub-account setup, CRM configuration, maintenance, and optimization.
- Design and build high-converting funnels, landing pages, and customer journeys inside GoHighLevel.
- Create advanced marketing automation workflows for lead nurturing, appointment booking, pipeline management, customer reactivation, follow-up sequences, and lifecycle marketing.
- Design and implement business automation systems that streamline operational processes beyond marketing.
- Build and maintain sophisticated automations using Zapier, Make.com, APIs, webhooks, and N8N.
- Architect, build, train, and optimize AI agents capable of performing complex automated tasks and business workflows.
- Utilize Gemini, Claude, and ChatGPT to develop AI-driven automation strategies, prompt frameworks, decision trees, and intelligent workflow execution.
- Develop scalable AI workflows that integrate with CRM, marketing, sales, and operational systems.
- Manage A2P 10DLC registration and SMS compliance.
- Create dashboards and reporting systems that provide actionable business insights.
- Troubleshoot automation failures, AI agent behavior, API integrations, and workflow performance.
- Translate business goals into scalable automation architectures and execute them independently.
- Occasionally participate in client meetings to provide automation strategy and technical recommendations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in marketing automation, business automation, or workflow automation.
- Experience with GoHighLevel, including:
- Agency account management
- CRM configuration
- Funnel development
- Landing page creation
- Workflow automation
- Email & SMS automation
- Reporting dashboards
- Experience with Zapier and Make.com.
- Strong experience building automations using APIs, webhooks, and N8N.
- Demonstrated experience designing and deploying AI-powered automation workflows.
- Proven expertise building, training, and optimizing AI Agents capable of performing complex business tasks.
- Strong experience using Gemini, Claude, and ChatGPT to build intelligent automation systems.
- Experience developing AI prompt frameworks, agent logic, decision trees, and workflow orchestration.
- Experience creating and optimizing complete customer journeys and business automation systems.
- Hands-on experience completing A2P 10DLC registration and SMS compliance.
- Strong experience creating email and SMS automation campaigns.
- Experience building dashboards and reporting systems.
- Working knowledge of HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, or similar CRMs.
- Strong understanding of customer journey mapping, lead nurturing, and conversion optimization.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of owning complex technical projects independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a digital marketing agency supporting multiple client accounts.
- Experience with API integrations and webhooks.
- Understanding of paid media, SEO, websites, and broader digital marketing strategies.
- Comfortable participating in occasional client meetings when technical expertise is needed.
