This role works closely with Production, Supply Chain, Engineering and Management teams to identify defects, document findings, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nThe following duties are representative of this role.\nInspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products against established quality\nspecifications and drawings.\nPerform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measurement tools.\nDocument inspection results accurately and completely in quality management systems and paper-based logs.\nIdentify and segregate non-conforming materials; initiate nonconformance reports (NCRs) and coordinate disposition with appropriate personnel.\nCollaborate with Production and Supply Chain supervisors and operators to communicate quality findings and support corrective action.\nMonitor and verify that manufacturing processes comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.\nSupport internal audits and assist in preparation for external quality audits.\nMaintain calibration records for inspection equipment and notify appropriate personnel when calibration is due.\nEnter, maintain, and report ISO 9001/QMS quality data, and flag trends and improvement opportunities to the supervisor.\nAssist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).\nAdhere to all safety policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards on the production floor.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nEducation & Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED required; associate degree or vocational/technical training in a related field preferred.\nMinimum 1 year of experience (2+ years preferred) in a quality control, inspection, or manufacturing environment.\nExperience reading and interpreting engineering drawings (dimensions), blueprints, and technical specifications; working knowledge of GD&T preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nProficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and inconsistencies in materials and finished goods.\nBasic computer skills; ability to enter data accurately into QMS and ERP systems.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document findings clearly.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced production environment.\nFamiliarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management standards.\nBilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.\nPhysical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
