The transformation has created new opportunities such as this role, Enterprise Data Governance Lead.\nHere’s how you will make a difference in this role…\nReporting to the Head of Data and AI, you will be accountable for establishing and embedding an enterprise-wide data governance capability that enables trusted, secure and responsible use of data across MMS. You will partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship, policies, standards and controls, while improving data quality, metadata management and regulatory compliance.\nYou will lead the implementation of governance frameworks, operating models, stewardship programs, data quality initiatives and governance tooling; and be responsible for ensuring governance requirements are embedded into enterprise data platforms, analytics solutions and AI initiatives, while enabling greater transparency, accountability and value from MMS's information assets.\nAt MMS clear expectations help our people Be the Difference. Your key responsibilities in this role will include:\nDevelop and maintain the enterprise Data Governance Strategy, roadmap, framework, policies and standards.\nDefine and operationalise Data Owner and Data Steward accountabilities and support business areas in managing data as a strategic asset.\nLead the enterprise Data Quality Framework by implementing controls, monitoring, issue management and remediation processes.\nImplement and maintain enterprise metadata management capabilities\nLead the development, review and maintenance of Data Governance policies, standards, procedures and guidelines; translating business, regulatory, privacy and risk requirements into practical governance controls.\nLead implementation and optimisation of governance tooling and capabilities and evaluate and recommend governance, metadata and data quality solutions.\nSupport the implementation of AI Governance and Responsible AI frameworks, ensuring governance controls are embedded into AI, machine learning and analytics initiatives.\nDevelop governance dashboards and executive reporting; monitor governance KPIs, compliance measures and risk indicators and provide assurance reporting to governance committees and leadership teams.\nTo be considered for this role you will have:\nTertiary qualification in Information Management, Technology, Computer Science, Business, Risk Management or a related discipline\nSignificant experience leading Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality or Information Management functions within a complex or regulated organisation\nDemonstrated experience establishing governance operating models, frameworks, policies, standards and stewardship programs.\nProven success driving governance maturity and organisational change\nExperience supporting executive and governance committees\nHands-on experience implementing and operating Microsoft Purview or similar data governance tool would advantageous\nDemonstrated ability to influence senior executives and stakeholders across business and technology environments.\nYou will also be able to demonstrate strong technical experience across the Microsoft Azure Data & AI ecosystem, including:\no Microsoft Fabric\no Azure Data Lake Storage\no Azure Data Factory\no Azure Synapse Analytics\no Azure SQL\no Power BI\nWhat we can offer you:\n· Strong culture and the support of a values-based recognition program\n· Novated leasing benefits and discounts\n· 12 weeks paid parental leave\n· Comprehensive learning and development opportunities to support your career growth\n· Sonder digital wellbeing platform, providing personalised support 24/7, plus annual flu vaccinations\n· Default Income Protection Insurance reimbursed for members of the MMS Default Super Fund\n· Exempt Employee Share Plan\n· Volunteer leave & Career break\n· MMS Rewards program\nEmbracing our value of Everyone Matters we hold a collective commitment to foster an environment where all differences are valued and respected.\n· We encourage individuals from all backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, those caring for someone or living with a disability, LGBTQIA+ and culturally diverse applicants to apply.\n· We value the skills and attributes veterans can bring to our organisation.\n· We embrace hybrid working and welcome conversations about flexibility.\nPlease note all successful candidates will undergo background checks (including criminal history and ASIC checks) and an NDIS Workers Screening Check if appropriate.
