This multidisciplinary team allows you to allocate your resources more efficiently.\nOverall Requirements:\nOur Operations Department is actively looking for an experienced Cable Assembler to perform various assembly functions. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform daily equipment validations before starting assemblies\nAssemble cable, assemblies, or sub-assemblies\nMakes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to specifications\nBuild and test cables\nSolder wires and components\nUtilize designated pneumatic and hand tools required to complete tasks\nPerform duties and inspect workmanship to IPC620 standards\nDocument all work performed using system tools\nCommunicate issues with supervisor and engineering team\nRead and interpret engineer change notices to complete required tasks\nWork with engineering on prototype, first article builds, and provide input on NPI process development\nExpected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices\nPerform other job-related duties, as required\nEducation & Experience:\nElectronic Technician/Technologist Diploma an asset\nEquivalent years of relevant work experience within electronic assembly\nAdditional Qualifications:\nGood hand to eye co-ordination and manual dexterity\nStrong attention to detail is essential\nStrong communication skills are essential\nAbility to document clearly & concisely is essential\nAbility to interpret schematic drawings and production documents\nAbility to read ECN upgrades\nQC experience considered an asset\nAbility to prioritize and complete work in a timely fashion\nAbility to listen and communicate with peers at all levels within the organization.\nAbility to work overtime, as required\nHealth and Safety conscious.\nAutonomous self-starter; can anticipate what needs to be done before being asked.\nTerra Nova values the diversity of our workforce.
