The role focuses on backend service development, API implementation, testing, and collaboration with frontend teams, while using modern AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality. \nIn this role as a Software Engineer II, you will: \nDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using .NET Core/.NET 5+. \nImplement and consume APIs that support React-based frontend applications. \nWrite and maintain unit and integration tests for backend and frontend components. \nWork with existing SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases by querying and consuming data. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. \nParticipate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives. \nUse AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate development and improve code quality. \nFor this role as a Software Engineer II, you should have: \nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. \n5+ years of experience developing backend applications using .NET Core or .NET 5+. \n4+ years of experience building frontend applications with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript. \nExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs. \nWorking knowledge of SQL Server or PostgreSQL. \nExperience writing unit tests and familiarity with common testing frameworks. \nProficiency with Git and standard version control workflows. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern developer productivity workflows. \nExposure to microservices or service-oriented architecture. \nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized development (Docker). \nCloud experience with AWS or similar platforms. \nFamiliarity with authentication and authorization concepts (OAuth, JWT, RBAC). \nExperience with GraphQL, message queues, or event-driven systems is a plus. \nPrior experience or domain knowledge in K-12 education, Student Information Systems, or EdTech is preferred. \nSalary Range: The base range for this position is $82,200 - $113,100.
