Operating under the corporate promise Better\n\nJob Summary: The ideal candidate will have solid experience in importation, customs clearance, and inland logistics, with hands-on knowledge of URA and UNBS procedures and portals.\n\nKey Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nReview and verify all importation and customs documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.\n\nFollow up on the customs clearance process for all import shipments.\n\nCoordinate and monitor the inland transportation process from the point of clearance to final delivery.\n\nApply for and follow up on required exemptions and approvals through UNBS and URA.\n\nFollow up on shipment release procedures and ensure timely exit of shipments from customs points.\n\nCoordinate with customs authorities, clearing agents, transport providers, and other relevant stakeholders.\n\nTrack shipment status and resolve any clearance or logistics-related issues promptly.\n\nMaintain accurate records of importation, clearance, and delivery documentation.\n\nQualifications, Skills and Experience:\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.\n\nExperience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in logistics, importation, customs clearance, or supply chain operations.\n\nHands-on experience with URA and UNBS portals and procedures.\n\nStrong knowledge of importation and customs clearance processes in Uganda.\n\nStrong communication, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.\n\nGood command of English, both written and spoken.\n\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.\n\nExperience working with international shipments and customs clearance.\n\nPrevious experience in a logistics, freight forwarding, trading, or import/export environment.\n\nKnowledge of Ugandan customs regulations and importation requirements.\n\nExperience coordinating with clearing agents and government
