We’re now looking for talented people to help us build the future of low carbon energy.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Service Engineer with Rendesco, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintaining, and repairing of heat pump systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This hands-on role will involve diagnosing faults, optimising system performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.\nYou will be at the heart of maintaining the high standards of service that Rendesco is known for, directly contributing to the reliability and efficiency of our cutting-edge, low-carbon heating systems.\nResponsibilities\nMaintenance & Repair:\nConduct routine servicing, fault finding, repairs, and preventive maintenance of industrial, commercial, and domestic ground and air-source heat pumps.\n\nDiagnose and troubleshoot faults in heat pump systems.\n\nReplace defective components and test system functionality.\n\nCustomer Support & Reporting:\nProvide technical advice and support to customers, ensuring their systems operate smoothly.\n\nComplete service reports and maintain up-to-date documentation.\n\nEducate customers on system operation and energy efficiency.\n\nCompliance & Safety:\nEnsure all work complies with health and safety regulations.\n\nHandle refrigerants safely and in accordance with environmental guidelines.\n\nStay updated on industry standards and best practices.\n\nRequirements\nExperience with Ground Source and Air Source Heat Pumps-installing, servicing, or commissioning systems.\n\nFault finding and troubleshooting experience with heating systems.\n\nUnderstanding of heating systems, associated pumps/valves, and safety requirements.\n\nA basic understanding of PLC control systems.\n\nElectrical fault finding to board/component level would be advantageous.\n\nPersonal Attributes:\nStrong Customer Service and Communication Skills-vital for liaising with customers.\n\nA good Team Player who is comfortable with lone working, as this role involves travelling to customer sites.\n\nA proactive problem-solver with a hands-on approach.\n\nEducation:\nNVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, Heating, or Refrigeration (Essential)\n\nG3 qualification unvented (essential)\n\nFGAS (Desirable but not essential)\n\nLocation:\nIdeal location for this role would be Reading, Newbury, or surrounding areas.\n\nWhat's in it for you?\nA competitive annual salary & overtime.\n\nCompany Van provided for business use.\n\nPrivate Medical Insurance after successful completion of probation.\nElectric Vehicle and Cycle to Work Salary Sacrifice Schemes.\n£30 monthly phone allowance.\n£50 quarterly social budget. \n25 days holiday plus bank holidays.\nTraining, development and progression opportunities.\nA collaborative and supportive culture, with regular company socials, team events and celebrations designed to bring our teams together.\nBe the change.\nThis is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing business in a high-demand industry, with the chance to initially contribute to an iconic development that will set a new benchmark for sustainable living in the UK.\n\nAt Rendesco, we're committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
