Rendezvous Robotics is solving this problem with electromagnetic self-assembling tiles: modular spacecraft components that rendezvous, dock, and latch to assemble bigger and more powerful spacecraft than anything that can be folded to fit into a rocket.\nWe're a small team based in Golden, Colorado, executing on a clear path from flight demonstration to our first operational systems. Our work spans hardware, software, and systems engineering. We are looking for the best people in the world who want to build the next generation of advanced spacecraft.\nResponsibilities & Ownership\nGenerate and maintain work instructions for mechanical and electrical assemblies, building them into our MES so the floor has clear, current, traceable steps.\nOwn production operations day to day, removing blockers and keeping workflow uninterrupted.\nCreate spacecraft and tile assembly kits to enable rapid, repeatable production.\nGenerate non-conformance reports (NCRs), support investigations through resolution, and own the execution of dispositions.\nGenerate calibration processes and maintain certification of mechanical and electrical ground support equipment (GSE).\nDesign and build ground support equipment to streamline production operations. \nProvide technical and engineering support to the technician team on the build floor.\nDrive process improvements and corrective actions that increase production efficiency and yield.\nProvide manufacturing expertise to design engineering, contributing to drawings, SOPs, and design-for-manufacturability decisions.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or a related field.\n[ Senior level only] 5+ years of relevant experience\nHands-on experience working with hardware and fabrication methods.\nExperience with PLM and/or MES tools and configuration and data management controls.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work directly with technicians and design engineers.\nU.S. person status required (see below).\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience building space hardware - structures, harnessing, PCBAs, fluid systems, or similar.\nFamiliarity with AS9100 or equivalent aerospace quality processes and standards.\nExperience standing up production processes, tooling, or a build floor from scratch in a startup or small-team environment.\nExperience authoring NCR / corrective-action workflows and dispositioning nonconforming hardware.\nCompensation and Benefits\nEngineer: $85,000 - $110,000\nSenior Engineer: $110,000 - $135,000\nYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. In addition to the base salary, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of stock options. You will receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and paid parental leave.
