The internship has a duration of six months to be spent in the new Renesas design center located in Catania, Italy. Objective of the internship is to perform research and development in analog and mixed-signal circuit design with a special focus on Power Management ICs and Smart Power Stages for High-Performance Computing. During the internship, the candidate will join the Performance Computing Power team in Catania working side by side with experienced engineers that will provide guidance and support throughout any technical challenge.\nResponsibilities\nPerform transistor-level design of analog and mixed-signal circuit blocks\nEvaluate performance tradeoffs among different circuit topologies\nDocument simulation results and conduct technical reviews\nEnsure design quality and compliance with specifications\n Requirements and Skills\nKnowledge of CMOS and bipolar transistors, diodes, resistors, capacitors, inductors\nBasic knowledge of BCD technology\nAbility to design basic circuit blocks, run process/voltage/temperature (PVT) corners and Montecarlo simulations\nKnowledge of voltage and current references, current mirrors, amplifiers, comparators, oscillators & clocking circuits, digital gates\nKnowledge of feedback control systems\nFamiliarity with switch-mode power conversion topologies and linear regulators\nFamiliarity with Cadence design environment is a plus\nGood communication skills\nGood knowledge of written and spoken English\n Renesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose, To Make Our Lives Easier.
