The role is responsible for building, modifying, and maintaining electronic hardware, as well as ensuring the lab environment, equipment, and processes are organised and operating effectively.\nPrincipal Accountabilities:\nAct as the primary support contact for all lab users\nSupport application engineers and other stakeholders in all lab-related activities\nMaintain a clean, safe, and well-organised lab environment\nEnsure adherence to lab processes, guidelines, and best practices\nPopulate, assemble, and modify PCBs (prototype and low-volume builds)\nPerform rework, repairs, and one-off hardware modifications\nAssist in commissioning and bring-up of evaluation boards\nMaintain inventory of components and lab equipment\nEnsure evaluation board stock is accurately tracked and aligned with internal systems\nCoordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for equipment, PCBs, and components\nDeliver soldering training and guidance to engineers as required\nProvide practical support and advice on lab tools, processes, and best practices\nAssist with the preparation and shipment of evaluation kits to internal and external stakeholders\n Strong understanding of soldering techniques and principles\nExperience with PCB assembly, rework, and modification\nFamiliarity with rework stations and lab equipment\nWorking knowledge of PCB schematics and layout tools (desirable)\nHands-on capability with electronic hardware and bench tools\nHigh attention to detail and quality workmanship\nStrong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks\nExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced lab environment\nProficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel)\n3+ years relevant experience\n Renesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose, To Make Our Lives Easier.
