This role is designed for rising juniors or seniors in undergrad who are pursuing an engineering degree and are interested in learning how products move from design into manufacturing and production. You will work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to engineering tasks, and gain exposure to product qualification, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a learning-focused role with structured mentorship and clear technical development opportunities.\nRole\nWork cross-functionally on development of BMICs and battery charger IC products.\nAssist Product Engineers with data collection and analysis of product test results.\nSupport product qualification activities, including reliability stress testing and failure analysis.\nLearn evaluation and disposition techniques for ESD, Latchup, and HTOL qualifications.\nPrepare engineering documentation, reports and EBRs.\nParticipate in team meetings and reviews to understand product development flow.\nWork on well-defined digital and hands-on technical tasks or improvement projects.\nDevelop scripts, dashboards, or automated reports to improve engineering productivity.\nCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field with 2-3 years of coursework in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, preferred focus on IC design or fabrication. Rising junior or senior, senior preferred. MUST NOT HAVE GRADUATED BEFORE SEPTEMBER 2027.\nBasic understanding of electronics and engineering fundamentals.\nStrong technical and computer skills.\nFamiliarity with basic lab instruments (power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs). \nProficiency in MS office and Excel; Minitab or JMP preferred.\nBasic use of MATLAB, Python, C/C#, VBA, or similar language.\nWillingness to learn new software and skills, take feedback, and work as part of a fast-paced team.\nSelf-motivated with strong engineering problem-solving skills.\nAbility to create plans for open ended tasks.\nAttention to detail and organization.\n Renesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose, To Make Our Lives Easier.
