Join us and build your future by being part of what’s next in electronics.\n Job Summary:\nWe are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer - ECAD Library Development to lead the development, review, automation, and release of ECAD models supporting semiconductor product launches. The role requires strong expertise in Altium Designer, semiconductor package interpretation, ECAD library management, and automation-driven productivity improvements.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop, review, and release ECAD Symbols, PCB Footprints, and 3D Models using Altium Designer. \nSupport NPI activities by delivering high-quality ECAD models within launch schedules. \nVerify datasheets, package drawings, pin mapping, alternate functions, electrical types, and IPC-compliant land patterns. \nDevelop packages including QFN, DFN, LGA, LQFP, QFP, BGA, CSP, WLCSP, SOP, SSOP, and TSSOP. \nDrive ECAD quality through design reviews, standardization, and continuous process improvements. \nCollaborate with global Business Units, Product Engineering teams, and external vendors. \nSupport web-library releases and configuration management activities. \nMentor junior engineers and lead technical reviews. \nRequired Skills:\nStrong hands-on experience with Altium Designer. \nExpertise in ECAD Symbol, Footprint, and 3D Model Development. \nGood understanding of IPC-7351, PCB manufacturing, and semiconductor package standards. \nAbility to interpret datasheets, package outlines, and pin-function tables. \nExperience in pin mapping validation, electrical type verification, and quality reviews. \nKnowledge of Python, Altium Scripting, VBA, or automation tools. \nFamiliarity with Jira, Excel-based tracking, and ECAD library release workflows. \n Preferred Qualifications:\nBachelors or Masters degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related Engineering.\n\nExperience in semiconductor ECAD library development.\n\nExposure to automation-driven ECAD development and large component library management.\n\nDesired Competencies:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to handle multiple NPI projects simultaneously.\n\nEffective communication and collaboration with global teams.\n\nPassion for quality, automation, and continuous improvement.\n\n Renesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose, To Make Our Lives Easier.
