development.\nCompute & Engineering Infrastructure\nProvide technical leadership for global EDA compute infrastructure.\nDevelop and support Linux-based engineering environments.\nWork with IT/IS on compute, storage, networking and server requirements.\nSupport interactive and batch compute environments.\nContribute to infrastructure capacity planning and technical roadmaps.\nTroubleshoot complex compute and engineering-environment problems.\nDevelop automation to improve reliability and reduce manual administration.\nProject & Workspace Infrastructure\nOwn and evolve the engineering project and workspace architecture.\nDevelop and maintain project/workspace creation and initialization mechanisms.\nSupport project configuration infrastructure.\nEnsure consistent environment setup globally across projects and sites.\nDevelop interfaces between project configuration, PDKs, EDA tools and engineering workflows.\nProvide extensible mechanisms allowing project teams to customize their environments while maintaining a supported platform standard.\nReduce manual intervention in project setup and project lifecycle management.\nEDA License Infrastructure\nProvide technical leadership for global EDA license-server infrastructure.\nDevelop standardized approaches for license deployment and administration.\nDevelop and maintain automation for license updates, validation and auditing.\nAutomation & Tool Development\nDevelop robust Python, shell and other automation for CAD infrastructure.\nMaintain engineering utilities and infrastructure scripts.\nDevelop automation for configuration generation, provisioning, monitoring and administration.\nIntegrate CAD infrastructure with Jenkins/CI and service-management workflows where appropriate.\nImprove observability, auditability and maintainability of infrastructure services.\nMonitoring, Metrics & Capacity Planning\nDevelop dashboards and metrics for engineering infrastructure.\nMonitor compute and license utilization.\nIdentify capacity, performance and reliability risks.\nWork with infrastructure teams on forward capacity planning.\nDevelop mechanisms to identify inefficient use of shared engineering resources.\nOS & Platform Strategy\nContribute to supported Linux OS strategy for EDA environments.\nCoordinate EDA-tool compatibility requirements with IT/IS.\nSupport migration between Linux platform generations.\nDefine clear engineering requirements for infrastructure standards.\nHelp separate engineering application requirements from infrastructure operational ownership.\nDocumentation, Training & Support\nMaintain architecture and operational documentation for critical CAD infrastructure.\nDocument scripts, configuration, dependencies and recovery procedures.\nProvide expert escalation for complex infrastructure problems.\nTrain other CAD engineers and IT/IS teams to reduce dependency on individual experts.\nEstablish sustainable primary/backup ownership for critical services.\nDevelop appropriate resilience and failover strategies.\nWork with regional CAD teams and IT/IS to standardize license infrastructure globally.\nSupport license-capacity monitoring and planning.\nDevelop monitoring and reporting for license availability and utilization.\nLSF & Batch Compute\nProvide EDA expertise for LSF-based compute environments.\nWork with IT/IS on LSF architecture, provisioning and resource sharing.\nDevelop methods for monitoring compute utilization and efficiency.\nSupport integration between project environments and batch compute.\nIdentify and automate detection of inefficient or problematic workloads.\nContribute to compute capacity planning.\nPerforce Infrastructure\nProvide engineering-side technical expertise for Perforce server infrastructure and operations.\nSupport Perforce architecture used by semiconductor engineering environments.\nWork with IT/IS on server lifecycle, availability, storage, backup and operational ownership.\nSupport administration and troubleshooting of engineering Perforce environments.\nDevelop automation and monitoring around Perforce infrastructure.\nMaintain appropriate operational documentation and procedures.\n Required Skills & Experience\nSignificant experience in EDA/CAD infrastructure engineering within semiconductor development.\nStrong Linux/Unix expertise.\nStrong scripting and automation skills, preferably Python and shell.\nExperience with LSF or comparable distributed compute environments.\nExperience with enterprise version-control/data-management infrastructure such as Perforce Helix and IPLM\nExperience with engineering project/workspace management.\nUnderstanding of compute, storage and network requirements for EDA environments.\nExperience with EDA licensing and FlexNet-based licensing environments.\nStrong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.\nExperience developing production-quality engineering automation.\nAbility to work across global engineering, CAD and IT/IS organizations.\nStrong technical documentation and knowledge-transfer skills.\nHighly Desirable\nPerforce server administration and architecture.\nLSF administration/integration experience.\nFlexNet license-server architecture.\nGrafana or similar infrastructure monitoring.\nJenkins/CI automation.\nServiceNow integration.\nCadence and other major semiconductor EDA-tool experience.\nLinux infrastructure and RHEL migration experience.\nExperience supporting geographically distributed
