You will work on Go Configure™ Software Hub, a suite of desktop applications used to configure, simulate, program, and test custom chips. The product runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS and includes both GUI-based workflows and hardware-related functionality. In this role, you will write and maintain automated tests in Python using pytest and our internal automation framework. You will work closely with developers and QA engineers to investigate issues, validate fixes, improve regression coverage, and support stable product releases. This role is a good fit for an engineer who enjoys working with technically complex software and wants to contribute not only to test implementation, but also to improving test stability, maintainability, and the overall automation approach.\nReview software requirements and identify areas to be covered by automated tests. \nWrite, maintain, and update automated tests in Python. \nRun automated regression tests and analyze the results. \nInvestigate failed test runs and report defects. \nVerify bug fixes and support release validation. \nMaintain test cases, test reports, and related documentation. \nContribute to improvements in test stability, maintainability, and automation coverage. \nImprove the existing internal automation framework. \nTest product functionality on Windows, Linux, and macOS. \n 2+ years of experience with Python. \nExperience with pytest or another Python-based test framework. \nGood understanding of software testing basics, including test design, regression testing, defect reporting, and test documentation. \nExperience with Git or another version control system. \nAbility to analyze issues carefully and communicate findings clearly. \nIntermediate English or higher for internal communication and documentation. \nGood attention to the details. \nAbility to learn new tools and adapt to a technical product domain. \nWill be a plus\nExperience with desktop application testing. \nExperience with GUI test automation. \nExperience testing software on Windows, Linux, or macOS. \nExperience with CI tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI. \nExperience with test management tools such as TestRail or TestLink. \nExperience with Jira, Redmine, or similar tools. \nFamiliarity with Qt applications. \nFamiliarity with electronics, embedded systems, FPGA, semiconductor tools, or EDA software. \nExperience with automation tools such as Playwright, Appium, Squish, pywinauto, WinAppDriver, or Selenium. \n Fixed-Term Contract - 6 months (with the possibility of extension afterwards). \nPart-Time employment (10 or 20 work hours per week). \nWork format - remote or in-office (hybrid). \nFlexible working hours. \n14 calendar days paid vacation. \nRenesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose, To Make Our Lives Easier.
