You'll design, develop, and own the quality of the platform software - drivers, middleware, and RTOS - that runs on Renesas devices.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain embedded platform software for Renesas devices, including low-level drivers, middleware, and RTOS integration\nOwn the quality of delivered software, from design review through verification\nWrite, test, and document embedded software\nPlan and schedule your own tasks, contribute to team-level software planning, and report progress to the project lead\nMentor and coach junior engineers, and provide technical supervision of their work\n Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 5+ years of embedded software development experience in consumer electronics, automotive, medical, or a similar domain\nStrong C programming skills and a track record of designing software for deeply embedded, resource-constrained platforms\nHands-on experience with 8/16/32-bit MCU architectures, including ARM Cortex-M\nFully competent across the software engineering lifecycle, including verification and testing of deliverables against specifications and requirements\nComfortable debugging with lab equipment and tooling: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, multimeters, and JTAG/SWD debuggers\nExperience with modern development methodologies (Agile, CI, test automation) and version control (Git, SVN, Bitbucket, GitHub)\nAble to prioritize, set goals, and meet deadlines for yourself and others\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, and an effective, collaborative working style across engineering teams\nNice to have\nMCAL development, AUTOSAR System Services, safety-certified RTOS kernels (SafeRTOS, AUTOSAR OS)\nISO 26262 / ASIL B-D development, ASPICE processes\nMISRA C and static analysis\nAI-assisted development experience\n Renesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose, To Make Our Lives Easier.
