Join us and build your future by being part of what’s next in electronics and the world\n Renesas is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Test with strong Python skills to develop and execute automated and manual test solutions for software, hardware, and firmware products. Experience with hardware, electronics, or SW/HW interface is a big plus.\nYou will collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate market-leading digital controller solutions powering AI, client, and server applications. Responsibilities include test planning, automation, debugging, test execution, and driving product quality across the development lifecycle.\nJob responsibilities in QA Testing:\nYou will work teams across the globe to generate test requirements and define test methodologies.\nDesign and execute automated and manual test plans for software, hardware, firmware, and IC solutions.\nDebug software and hardware issues, with a focus on IC functionality and root cause analysis.\nAnalyze test results, report defects, and support issue resolution with development and customer-facing teams.\nCollaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure product quality exceeds expectations.\nDrive test automation, validation framework improvements, and QA best practices.\nMentor team members and contribute to testing strategy, planning, and process enhancements.\nManage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while balancing quality, timelines, and feature delivery.\nProactively identify risks, raise issues, and recommend product and process improvements.\n Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or similar\nExperience: 3-7 years of Software QA experience, including 3+ years testing software integrated with hardware/firmware.\nTechnical Proficiency:\nStrong test automation skills with Python and tools such as Qt Squish, SmartBear Test Complete, or similar.\nProficiency in Git is a must. Experience with one of GitLab, GitHub or BitBucket is highly preferred. Additionally, exposure to DevOps and HW/SW test is a plus.\nSolid understanding of JIRA, version control, QA best practices, and software/hardware development lifecycles.\nProven ability to mentor teams, improve test coverage, and drive quality initiatives.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with a keen attention to detail.\nExperience in electronics, microcontroller programming, and bus communications, ideally in power systems, semiconductors, or ICs strongly preferred.\n Familiarity with lab test equipment and measurement tools.\n Background in both Software QA and IC/Power Engineering preferred.\n Renesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose, To Make Our Lives Easier.
