This position will require significant travel within a designated region, Southeastern US, and occasional domestic travel within the US.\nPrincipal Duties & Responsibilities\nCustomer Application Development\nAnalyze customer measurement and inspection requirements.\nDevelop CMM inspection strategies for complex components.\nCreate and optimize MODUS and DMIS measurement programs.\nConduct proof-of-concept studies and feasibility investigations.\nProblem Solving & Escalation Support\nTroubleshoot customer measurement issues.\nResolve programming, probing, fixturing, and correlation concerns.\nSupport customers through startup and production ramp-up.\nTechnical Sales Support\nSupport Regional and District Sales Managers.\nAssist with technical presentations and product demonstrations.\nEvaluate customer applications during the sales process.\nHelp define project scope, implementation requirements, and quotations.\nCustomer Training\nTrain customer personnel on: CMM operation, MODUS programming, Measurement strategies & best metrology practices\nOther Duties as Assigned or Requested\nQualifications\nEducation and Experience: Minimum\nBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or Engineer Technology equivalent, or experience equivalent\nAbility to understand and comprehend engineering principles\nUnderstanding of mechanical principles\nStrong trouble shooting skills\nUnderstanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)\nIT aptitude\nStrong mathematical skills-i.e. Trigonometry\nThis position may require the use of, and access to, ITAR controlled data. The applicant must demonstrate eligibility to use and access such ITAR controlled data. The purpose of this requirement is to ensure compliance with U.S. export control laws. \nEducation and Experience:Preferred\n Experience in Manufacturing, Quality Control, Metrology, or CMM Operations\nUnderstanding of DMIS or other metrology languages\nExperience with programming (VB, Java, C++)\nPrevious internship with a company involving the machining of parts\nExperience in working with CAD/CAM in a manufacturing or Quality Control environment.\nExperience using Renishaw products\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities, Competencies\nIdentification of problems and trouble-shooting of technical systems\nManual dexterity with the physical ability to install products in a normal production environment\nWriting metrology programs\nCompensation Range (Annual)\n$70,000-85,000(dependingon level and location)\nIn an effort to comply with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates regarding cash compensation, Renishaw sets standard pay ranges for all U.S.-based roles as established by job function, level, and geographic location.
