The purpose of the role is to provide additional programming, setting and operating resource to support the increased production demand of specials and low volume production parts.\nResponsibilities\nSetting / Operating CNC machines (Milling or Turning) to the standard set and run times\n\nInterpret drawings and use initiative in deciding tooling selection and the method of manufacture\n\nMonitor the quality of components using a wide range of equipment including CMM inspection and complete departmental quality documentation\n\nGenerate new component part programmes with the aid of Gibbs CAM programming software and subsequent prove out of new processes\n\nKey requirements\nApplicants must have served an apprenticeship and have expertise in using a variety of CNC machine tools, including milling or turning\n\nA sound knowledge of manufacturing methodology to ensure that new processes are both capable and efficient.\n\nDemonstrate good verbal and written communication skills\n\nGood PC skills are essential\n\nDesirable requirements\nA comprehensive knowledge of CNC machining with some programming knowledge is desirable.\n\nExperience using a variety of inspection methods including CMMs\n\nExpertise in the use of GibbsCam software would be desirable although full training will be provided for successful applicants\n\nBenefits\nWhen you join Renishaw, we're committing to your future career.
