You will be responsible for the accurate execution of day-to-day import and export activity in line with procedures and customs regulatory requirements.\nAs an Import / Export Coordinator, you will ensure shipment data, documentation and records are complete, accurate and properly controlled to support timely customs clearance and audit-ready outcomes. The role is execution-focused, operating within defined procedures, with clear escalation routes for anything unclear, incomplete or outside standard process.\nResponsibilities\nShipment preparation & documentation control\nPrepare and manage end-to-end import and export shipment files in line with internal procedures.\nEnsure all required documentation is received, validated and retained correctly, including:\nCommercial invoices\nPacking lists\nTransport documentation\nSupporting customs and compliance data\nCheck documents for accuracy, consistency and completeness prior to clearance or dispatch.\nImport activities\nPrepare and issue clearance instructions to brokers or forwarders in line with agreed processes.\nValidate key import data including commodity code, customs value, quantity, Incoterms, CPC and EORI details.\nIdentify missing, inconsistent or unclear information and liaise with internal stakeholders or external partners to resolve issues.\nEscalate issues that cannot be resolved within standard process or delegated authority.\nExport activities\nCheck exports against licence requirements and export declarations.\nSupport proof of export and VAT evidence checks.\nEnsure final documentation and declaration records are retained in accordance with record-keeping requirements.\nSupport amendments or corrections where required and update shipment records accordingly.\nRegisters, queries & record keeping\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date import and export registers, including shipment status, documentation and correspondence.\nRespond to routine queries from brokers, forwarders and internal stakeholders, providing corrected or missing information promptly to avoid delays.\nSupport document retrieval for follow-up queries, reconciliations or audit requests.\nQuality, control & escalation\nEnsure shipment files are complete and properly closed out.\nHighlight recurring issues, data quality concerns or process inefficiencies to senior team members.\nWork within defined procedures and delegated authority, escalating technical, unusual or higher-risk matters appropriately.\nKey requirements\nApplicants should have experience in import/export operations, logistics, or international trade administration, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.\nYou will demonstrate:\nA clear understanding of import and export documentation and customs processes\nStrong attention to detail and disciplined record keeping\nConfidence identifying missing or inconsistent shipment information\nAbility to follow defined procedures and escalate appropriately\nEffective communication with internal stakeholders, brokers and forwarders\nGood organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments in parallel\nTraining and support will be provided to develop technical capability and familiarity with Renishaw systems and processes.\nBenefits\nWhen you join Renishaw, we're committing to your future career.
