The successful candidate will be required to cover a varied multi-disciplined approach working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment within our Assembly production processes.\nTo enable you to get fully integrated into the position, team, and working environment, you will receive formal and immersive training, whilst being mentored and supported by our management staff. You will contribute to, and develop in areas such as technical support, effective communication, validation, and real life, time-pressured problem solving.\nThis is a permanent role working on a Double Day Shift Pattern (Mornings - 6am - 2pm / Afternoons - 2pm - 10pm).\nResponsibilities\nPreventative Maintenance - Complete PPM activities on critical production equipment in a Machine Shop and Assembly production environment.\nFault Diagnosis & Repair - Diagnose utilising experience and associated documentation to identify and correct issues with Electro-mechanical systems.\nContinuous Improvement - Pro-active approach to process improvement both in ways of working and equipment support.\nSafety and Compliance - Delivering quality workmanship in terms of quality, efficiency, accuracy and feedback whilst adhering to working in a safe manner.\nCommunication - Accurately assessing and communicating fault diagnostic issues and corrective actions to the supervision team.\nKey requirements\nFour GCSE passes (or equivalent BTEC) grades A-C including 2 STEM subjects.\nRelevant experience in a technical discipline.\nExcellent problem solving and practical skills.\nGood communication and social skills.\nBe an engaged, enthusiastic, and motivated individual.\nBasic IT and organisational skills.\nDesirable requirements\nExperience with the maintenance of Electronic and Manufacturing processes (Electronics assembly, SMT, Pick and Place, Inspection, Optical, Mechanical Assembly, extraction systems etc).\nHNC or NVQ3 level qualification.\nCompetency working with Pneumatic and Vacuum systems.\nSupport of Production equipment required to deliver a high volume of quality product.\nPerson Specification\nMethodical and capable of following verbal and written work instructions. Good work attendance record. Can work competently as an individual as well as part of a team. Self-motivated with an excellent diagnostic approach to fault finding.
